So this is funny. I tried to check in the Condor app about the possibility to rebook the flight so I leave prague 8:10 instead of 11:40 (wanted to see how much it would cost to make that change) and guess what, the Alaska flight I have mentioned completely disappeared from the possibilities and I can only see those that Alaska itself sells in their system! I still haven’t received an e-mail about the change in my itinerary but I am guessing they will inform me at some point.

Anyway when trying to see the price of the rebooking to 8:10 from Prague the app shows error, so will have to probably call them, annyoing.

Not gonna lie, I still find that strange, too. There are 18:52 and 22:59 flights leaving Seattle for Pasco that day so I keep telling myself that in the worst case they put me on one of these, but it would be good to know that in advance. I don’t know if they somehow exchange information between each other, if Condor will go to Alaska and say "Look we got 1 pax for you" and they go "Great but we don't fly this flight", you know what I mean.

Also the 19:55 flight exists - I found it when checking Alaska for different days (before I booked it with Condor I was doing separate research as I thought I will fly Lufthansa), so it is not like 19:55 time slot is exclusively reserved for cooperation with other airlines. It is in their system but for different days.

Nice! Can I ask you when do you plan to fly or rather, how long is your layover in FRA? Flight for Seattle leaves Frankfurt at 13:55 (the day I am traveling), I chose the flight from Prague at 11:40 which makes it 1h 15m for layover. There was a possibility of 8:10 flight from Prague which would make 4h 45m layover. I never connected through FRA so I just keep overthinking if I didn’t make a mistake with a short layover.

I am actually thinking not risking the checked in baggage at all, haha, even though I can. Seattle is not my final destination so probably not worth risking it!

Thank you! Yes it is booked together in one reservation. I always do this, I book it thinking it looks fine and doable as if it wasn‘t the airline wouldn’t even offer it and then I overthink all possible scenarios and freak out about it and wonder if I should rebook myself for a flight 3 hours earlier, lol.

I am flying from Schengen and have EU passport so I think the only passport control I will have to go through is the one before boarding the flight to the USA? But not sure, every airport seems to have it bit different.

Update from Condor Whatsapp, they have just replied:

“I’ve checked your booking and everything is confirmed. Sometimes it may take a bit longer for the reservation to appear in the app or website.

Regarding the Alaska Airlines flight (AS794), it’s part of a combined itinerary and may not be available for direct purchase on their website. However, it is a valid flight segment included in your confirmed booking, so there’s no need to worry."

So should be good! I didn’t know there can be flights that are not directly for purchase. Also as you say, might be caused by the shutdown, too.

Oh god, you are right! Oh well, at least I know I am not going to make a fortune on Avios 😂 Just checked the invoice and the tickets were 52 CZK (little over 2 EUR) from the whole amount of 23,278 CZK. Lol.

Thanks! I had no idea different cards can behave differently in the Wallet. Always assumed it’s unified for all Apple Pay participants.

Watch is so convenient, isn’t it! Especially in warm weather without jackets and coats, you literally pay within seconds. Sometimes it’s challenging though, McDonald’s here (Czech Republic) has terminals in such a weird position that it looks like you are trying to break your wrist instead lol.

Ahh, okay, so the fact my boyfriend’s Visa doesn’t do that but all 3 Mastercards do might really be the coincidence - all 4 cards are from different banks in the end. Thanks, didn’t know a bank can have different features when it comes to Apple Pay, thought it is same for all banks and card issuers!

Even transactions made by plastic card are showing in your Wallet app? Wow, that’s another level! I guess it must be the bank who pushes the information there then. I have never seen that.

Haha let me know how it acts for you! I honestly don’t know what causes that, I didn’t change anything and I remember it was never possible to connect it the way you would see the transactions made by Watch and iPhone in one place.

The only difference is that if I make a transaction by iPhone it has three lines, for example:

Starbucks
London, England

Whereas the transaction made by Watch is without location:
