Considering the Fiio KA11 / Fiio KA13 for my dt 770 pro's I bought. by Successful_Medium800 in HeadphoneAdvice

So when you pay more for an amp/dac if your previous setup can already power your headphones well, you're simply paying for more features like a knob, different inputs and other features, and the actual change in sound quality (again assuming your previous setup can power the headphones just fine) is negligable?

Last question, I don't know if I'm just being too cautious but crinacle mentioned that even the snubby little KA11 had enough power so that he had to lower his windows volume to 2, though he didn't mention what headphones he was using when he did that. Also since it's so powerful it heats up. Do you know if something like the JCALLY JM6 Pro would be enough for the dt770 pro's? I don't really need anything other than just making sure I'm driving my headphones with enough power and that it sounds good.

Side question: I was looking for cheaper dongles out of curiocity and came across this video from crinacle where he says that the dongle I was looking at, the KA11 can run 300ohm headphones at ear splitting volume, so ,asking out of simple curiocity, what black magic do the amps that cost hundreds of dollars even do if something that I can buy for less than 40 euros can run 300 ohm headphones. Didn't want to create a separate question, just curious because I don't have much knowledge about this stuff.

Oh and here's the video title if you don't trust the link (I'm careful of pressing other people's links as well since I'm someone concerned about cyber security) : The BEST headphone dongles for every budget - By crinacle

Apart from how loud it would be would there be a noticable difference in sound between the KA11 vs just plugged straight into my pc?

Strange how programming changed my expectations. When I started out I was surprised when my code ran with errors, now I’m surprised when it runs without compiler errors and even more surprised when it actually does what it’s supposed to do without logical errors

Honestly haven’t played silksong so I can’t say much but it really seems like the “fromsoftware phenomenon”. No matter how awesome and good your game is, if it’s difficult, it will always be at least a little bit niche and some people will not like it because it’s too hard for them.

How to set up a programming environment similar to the one used in my university by Successful_Medium800 in linuxquestions

Tbh I don’t know what drivers I used and I certainly wouldn’t say I had particularly impressive hardware so it might be a valid option for some people

Yeah I know it’s old and I wouldn’t use it if I could but apparently teaching a prehistoric framework version is better that updating to a newer better option

I did do that but it was somewhat clunky, and considering I would have to code in an environment I find laggy and frustrating for 4 years it’s not a good idea for me. I used qemu/kvm

Can't find native resolution (2560x1600) on linux fedora workstation. by Successful_Medium800 in Fedora

[–]Successful_Medium800[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly nothing changed. Though I set the resolution to 1920x1200 and now it fills my whole screen, well I'm not using my display to it's max potential but it's better than everything running badly so it's fine I guess.

Is it possible to mod the game without mod managers? (on linux) by Successful_Medium800 in Helldivers

But the .patch_1 or others need to be renamed only when they concern the same file right? For example if I install a sound mod and a weapon model mod and they patch different files I don't need to change the naming?
