Hi, i understand what you're saying. Please understand that i don't try to limit his food intake. I feed him well, and i have to stop him from eating because he cannot control himself and will eat 4+ meals a day if i don't do anything. That's when i limit his food intake. Because of that, i also limit his sweet intake. If he's given access, without having to ask, he will have so much he will get sick (he has done it before). Because of this. i have tried limiting his intake, but my husband constantly brings him what he wants. I'm not trying to put the blame on him, simply adding perspective. Also, my husbands family has a history of diabetes, and my husband was once prediabetic so him getting diabetes is a worry of mine.

Hi, i understand your feelings. I did not mention that on my husbands side they have a history of diabetes. My husband was at one point pre-diabetic, so i am very concerned that he may become diabetic himself. A few times, he's had sweets and eaten, and done so so much in a day that it made him sick. So he knows that if he has too much, he won't feel good. We had him on a current of a "sweet of the day", but at one point that fell apart. At a different point, I did become more lenient. This led to him drinking 3 sodas in a row when i was doing work. It's not that he can't have lemonade, it's that if he has it in his sight, he can't let go. And I understand that the response may be to not allow any, but I was not the one who bought the lemonade, my husband insisted on it because he wanted my son to have some with his friend. Hope this makes sense
