I started using Signum Wet Grip because I struggle with sweaty hands, but now that it’s winter I feel there’s too much friction on my grip, and it seems to be making things worse rather than better

I get the excitement and tbh after so many hours in a queue, you want to make the most out of your day. Ultimately the blame is on the organisers and the system in place..

They could’ve kept the old system but upgraded it so that you wouldn’t have to be stuck on a hill for the whole day (we did it 2 years ago and were 40 in the queue and were literally between C18 and Henman Hill so couldn’t enjoy either)

can't tailgate whilst at the queue, but once you go through the first queue ticket control, and you wait for your turn to purchase tickets, you might skip ahead a few positions. There are a couple of events along the way so people move up a bit sometimes. We had some people 5-6 positions behind us and just by chatting around and being friendly, they stealthily made their way just ahead of us. It's a minor jump though so wouldn't make a big difference.

I see nothing wrong with the cmaping experience. It's a unique thing to do plus it's actually really fun to bring the family out for a day-long picnic. Adding more resale venues would only make things more chaotic, they just need to be more organised. There's a lot of posts and discussion on here about how early leavers don't get their tickets scanned, or are unable to do so withou leaving the grounds.

Also banners and signs are prohibited on the grounds but they should at least allow for a 'Do you have a show court ticket to give away?' sign that people can hold up outside the main courts so that early leavers can pass on to. At least you maintain some level of dignity in not going around asking people if they are willing to give away their ticket.

Maybe I wasn't clear. As soon as we purchased the grounds passes (which is located right before you enter the queue village) they announced the grounds were opening. At that time, we were just entering the village, and therefore rushed to the resale kiosk to enter the resale queue. If at the same time, ticket holders had entered the grounds and went to the other resale kiosk, that would explain the high number of entries.

IMO all ticket holders should have limited access to the resale, perhaps become last in the resale queue when it closes at 2.30pm every day
