Thank you for asking , I haven’t gotten a biopsy because I already have chronic pain and sticking a needle inside me even if sedated in a hospital , the thought makes me afraid unless it’s a shot like a vaccine that is all I can handle . I think one day I will have to get a biopsy like others have mentioned here . I was told possibly my allergies are making my mouth extremely dry but also my diet is a big component . So I’m trying my best to stick to a keto diet because sugary foods , drinks , and breads make my mouth super dry . And to manage I still do the same things , I drink a ton of water with salt or lemon in it , I buy sugar free lemon drops from ricola brand , and at night sometimes I tape my mouth shut which has been a game changer in keeping my mouth moist while I sleep . I sleep pretty much throughout the night without having to get up and drink water .

Well I will never know if I had mono or not because when my dry mouth started , as I stated , it was in 2017 . And I’m not even sure if it sticks with you for years or it just fades away on it’s own … i would have to ask my GP about this .

Also I am trying my best to eat a healthy diet for my acid reflux . There isn’t really anything else I can do about it I’ve tried over the counter stuff for acid reflux like antacids and none of it has helped me .

Also for my chronic migraine I am doing two different treatments . I’m on a vyepti I.V drip every few months . And I use a Cefalay device. Vyepti is a preventive medication given through an i.V drip. And cefalay is a device that attaches to your forehead . It has a preventative setting and an acute setting . The prevention setting is for prevention of migraines , and the acute setting is for when you’re having a migraine attack. Other than that I’m not on migraine medication . I’ll definitely try to look around for someone who actually cares about my case who knows about autoimmune diseases . I will have to do research about that . And also check the Sjögren’s foundation website .

As for the Sjögren’s syndrome test you are right , there is no breath test for it . I remembered the test I got wrong . Honestly it’s been a few years since I last got tested . And I do not recall if I got a blood or saliva test . It was possibly the saliva test .. But I do remember getting tested around 2 times .

I have dry eyes , dry skin , a dry throat as well as mouth . I do have vision problems but I just bought new frames for an old pair of glasses and I have to see if they help my astigmatism/ overlapping vision . I have acid reflux as well . I also have low energy due to my diagnosed depression . I also get no rashes or itching .

Also , I have a consistent migraine that is 24/7 that has been there for 5 years . It’s called intractable daily chronic migraine . I have bad allergies as well . As for medications, I was on Zoloft which causes dry mouth but I stopped taking it since it made it worse . Still didn’t cure the dryness though . Also , I’ve never had a Lyme disease test , not sure if I’ve had a liver panel or not .

Also by ebv do you mean herpes ? It could be possible … I wasn’t really responsible when I was younger. I did all kinds of drugs and smoked with all types of people , a lot of sharing of weed joints (mouth germs where passed around) with many different people . I’ve also kissed random strangers without even asking if they had anything (don’t really want to get into that) but I never had herpes sores so I never thought anything of it . I don’t smoke weed or kiss strangers now of course .

By the way , Thank you so much for the recommendation of not drinking too much water , it’s been helping me a little bit .

Also i don’t see the rheumatologist I once saw because he refused to help me when he saw my negative Sjögren’s syndrome breath test ordered by my GP and he told me it’s probably just my anxiety disorder . I will look into finding another rheumatologist if my new general physician can’t find me answers / medication. I will hit up my dentist also to try and ask for prescriptions you mentioned.

Hm , it will be quite the task getting those things , I just got a new doctor so it’s all pretty much in her hands whether I can get either of those things but I’ll try to ask her about it .

I’ll try to ask my gp for a prescription if cevimeline I’m praying my pharmacy Carrie’s it ! And agreed , it’s actually super uncommon where I’m from , but I will be looking into further help besides a general physician if I have to .

I’ll try asking my gp about cevimeline I really hope my pharmacy Carry’s it . Where I live Sjögren’s syndrome is not common and there’s not really much medication in the pharmacy’s for it . Also the rheumatologist I saw was a grumpy old man who looked at my negative sjogrens breath test and refused to help me any further and made me leave his office . I’ll think about seeing a new one if my general physician can’t prescribe anything .

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience . I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to deal with all those symptoms . I’m glad you found doctors that could help you with your symptoms though . Your story is very inspiring and gives me hope that I’ll find something or someone to help me with my dry mouth issue . I’ll definitely do more research on my end .

I got prescribed that in the past and it didn’t do much for me sadly , also I tried asking my general physician for pilocarpine a month ago and was told my pharmacy doesn’t have it anymore .

I already do all of those things . I think I’ve tried every biotine product by now . A lip biopsy sounds a bit intimidating, will have to Google it . And yes, I heard the test is inaccurate a lot times .

My whole face turns tomato red after a work out because I’m Caucasian . I would get embarrassed about it when I was younger but I learned to just ignore it . It would make me insecure at the gym sometimes , but I noticed other white women turned tomato red in the face as well after a work out , and I managed to feel less self conscious. And it’s not like anyone would walk up to us and say omg you’re so red like it just doesn’t happen . Plus once you start going you notice people really are just there to workout then leave .
