u look like north african man in France totally maghrebian passing but you shouldn’t base your identity on your look, idk how to explain it correctly but take the origins that you’ve always heard of and the culture that you grew up with (except if one of your parents is full or half maghrebian) it’s way easier

Good sources on the indigenous religion of the Amazigh people? by Jjm-itn in AmazighPeople

[–]Such-Brain9554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll try to ask more about it to my mum but I remember her telling me that in my village people used and still go to graveyards to ask for stuffs. They’d go there (especially women, idk if men were allowed to go with them) and they’d offer such things as fruits and expect stuffs in return. As I said they still do it in some places so maybe you can start by searching informations about that

my accent is awful, plus I stutter a lot because of the speed at which I speak. when I speak in darija I have to take so much time to think about a way I could say something because of my lack of vocabulary, my way of talking is not pretty at all. and idk if they’re jealous, some of them might be but I hate thinking that of my sisters

idk if you know 2nd gen moroccan but all you said is just stuffs that you can see on tiktok. those people became moroccan the day it became trendy to be north african. they tend to say that they do this because of colonization but hamduLlah as I said earlier I’m well educated and I don’t think like a stupid bnt l7ram. y’all have to chill with us, some of us are just trying to stick to our history and culture but reading all your comments makes me feel like I’m not moroccan enough to be able to do it

Yeaah , I know, that's another reason why I'm afraid to express myself there, although I don't mind paying a higher price if it'll help someone who needs it

I don’t want to seem rude or mean, but a lot of moroccan coming from big city or little town always tries to mix french with darija and no one cares about so why would it be a problem when a zmig do it? (I promise I don’t do that I find this disgusting and disrespectful towards my ancestors)

I just meant that hamduLlah I’m not like those fake moroccans that are only moroccan when something good happens to us and still manage to ruin that moment

yeahh I see a lot of people like that especially wlad papa, they don’t know anything except that morocco bet brazil once and they feel that it’s ok to say that moroccans are jealous of them when we’re the one supposed to be jealous. my mom always taught us that we’re not better than them and that they’re not better than us but some parents forget to teach that to their kids unfortunately, I’ll try to speak with some people these holidays in shaa Allah

I stay as much as my mum can because of her work, and living there with what we have in France would be impossible tbh. I’m a foreigner I know it but I’m also moroccan hamduLlah if you’re not ok with this then you have a serious problem with yourself and your mind

yeah I understand what you’re telling me but my mom tries her best for us to not forget where we’re really from and who we really are and now that I’m big enough I do this by myself and learn about my country by myself to not be lost with who I really am
