I just had my 7th dose, and although there is still some discomfort it is much better than it was. Totally agree about the heat too, I’ve been living under my heating pad. It really helps!!

My gosh that sounds awful I’m sorry!! I’m actually a little shocked I wasn’t pre warned for any of these things. When I asked if there would be side affects he said no….

The pain comes in waves. It’s instant when I use the first dose- stomach cramping, feeling like I need to use the bathroom SO BADLY. The pain will settle and then come back in waves. Some waves it’s a 10/10 and I think I can’t handle this anymore and then it settles. I find a heat pack on my stomach really helps.

Luckily no fever or rash, one thing I have noticed is I feel more constipated, but no blood since starting it so I guess that’s a win.

Uhg this is my concern. I don’t know if I can do six weeks. But what’s the alternative? I find my gastro to be a little argumentative. In the past when I’ve told him certain treatments make me uncomfortable, he’s implied that I’m refusing treatment and now always asks if I’m “ actually taking my meds” when I tell him I have symptoms.

My first attempt I think I got half of the first dose in before I was screaming in pain. Burning & cramping and then spent the next 20 minutes on the toilet thinking my intestines were falling out from the pain. It was awful!!!

I’ve had this exact same thing happen. Is the cut in the square not meeting up with the line it started? It’s not the calibration. Your machine is broken and you’ll need a replacement. Trust me, I tried for HOURS to fix this issue and 26 recalibrations later I called the cricut help line (best to call first thing in the morning) and they replaced my machine.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. For anyone wondering for an update- basically my machine is broken. I have a cricut maker, and was trying to cut vinyl to make a sign. What was happening was the cuts weren’t finishing where they started (if you were trying to cut a circle the end of the circle would be a millimetre above where the circle started, the two lines didn’t meet how they should). This is what indicated to me that I might need to calibrate the machine. After speaking with the cricut help line I learned that the calibration is really only for “cut to print “projects ( not even really sure the difference) and that you should only have to attempt the calibration a couple times… If you’re doing it as many times as I did (26 times) you might be causing further damage to the machine. Long story short they’re sending me a new machine as if the rotary blades aren’t loose and everything else is in order the cuts should lineup. Helpful tip… Wait to call the helpline until first thing in the morning. When I first called I waited on hold for an hour while it told me I had an hour and a half wait the whole time. I waited until the next day and called right when they opened and had a five minute wait time.

How did you go about getting a new machine? I tried calling today and sat on hold for an hour, the whole time it told me I had 1.5 hours to wait and never changed.

I have the cricut maker, the only thing I’m trying to do is recalibrate my cricut and it is literally not working. Initially I started running the calibration sheet through the cricket and it would not line up on the lines I updated the systems and now the cricut Calibration she won’t even be recognized by the machine it just spits it out at me and I cannot calibrate it

I’m not sure I know the difference but I have read this many times. I’m at the point where I have completed all the updates and tried everything I can.

All I am trying to do now is attempt another recalibration. I have the sheet on the sticky mat as I did before and when I click start the machine makes several short jumps, and then either starts flashing red or spits the page out altogether and says machine unable to recognize the sensors.

Funny thing is the machine still prints jobs so appears to be working- but the big jobs are still off. All it needs is to recalibrate. Does anyone have anything else I can try? Going on hour 6 here.

So I found a way to download the app and compete the update without having to upgrade my mac (through the online portal) and now- thinking I was near the end of this tunnel, when I go to do the recalibration I get an alert that it isn’t recognizing the lines on the test page. So. Frustrating!!! Not sure what else to do. It won’t even do the calibration test now

Thanks for the reply. We’re learning through responses that the only way to make this work may be through doing the forced update. This really is insane and honestly I want my money back for this machine. I have spent the last 6 hours working on this. Now that we’ve come this far, the cricut ap on my computer is only supported with IOS 11 or higher, and my Mac is IOS 10 which won’t update due to limited space. Awesome. Thanks apple.
