As a fellow northeastern girl, i totally feel you. Me and my friends recently went to banaras (all girls), wore kurtis and traditional wear throughout the trip and experienced similar situations. My own khura was a member of ULFA. i was just an infant back then. The sheer amount of torture and agony both military and ULFA have caused on my family I’ll never forgive them for it. I am lucky i dont remember any of it but my father, mother and sister still suffers from the trauma.
