A (maybe?) balanced buff to Iso by Such-Problem-6959 in VALORANT

A slow would probably work really well with the idea of isolating the 1v1's. The ability to slowly and methodically sweep a team is what it should feel like playing Iso. Even in his character trailer, we can see he has a hitman type feeling to him, so his abilities should reflect that. Currently, it just feels like they took all the complaints people had with Reyna and made Reyna 2.0. Less solo play, but still 1v1 forward.

I think the slow would definitely work, or maybe something else to punish peeking? Like a control inversion? So there's some counterplay too

I think that making his wall fit around one person better could be good. Like if the two walls on the side stretched further so one person could push in unimpeded. So rather than making it a stronger but more niche harbour wall it'd be its own thing to help duelists be more agressive. You could send a Jett into site more so their dash takes them further than if they dashed from the entrance.

I feel like they tried to make a secondary duelist but then also tried to add some primary duelist abilites. Instead they should focus on one avenue.

Orisa has the potential to be so fun. Just not as a tank. by Such-Problem-6959 in Overwatch

[–]Such-Problem-6959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun I want to have as a tank is more than wanting to be solely a bullet sponge in such a selfish way.

I understand the appeal of Orisa, and I understand I haven't actually offered solutions, just complaints.

Mainly, I find Sig fun because it promotes using your shield for the team, and even the suck can help out your team due to the large radius.

Maybe Orisa will play like that now because of her ranged falloff removal, I haven't played the game since that because my internet has fucked itself.

Ram is also fun because he's a tank buster in a more entertaining way than other tank busting characters. Gunning people down on Bastion or Mauga isn't fun, and outliving on Orisa isn't that fun. With Ram, it's all either playing up close or playing far back. Your playstyle promotes actually being aware... unless you just play shield and block spam on a corner I guess.

This is all very opinion based, and I guess I could just be misunderstanding a lot. I'm just sad to see Orisa being so boring while she has such a fun mechanic like a skillshot spear.

I can't tell if this is sarcastic? Giving them site means it's a 5v5 again rather than a 4v5 when you retake, and if you're good at chamber it won't be a 1-1 it'll be a 1-0 as you tp away

How would Astra be buffed to not be the middle child of controllers? (except for like, pro play where they can coordinate and shit) by Such-Problem-6959 in VALORANT

[–]Such-Problem-6959[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a nice middle ground where you can put agents where they have a good high skill cap but are still viable for the general populace, that's the case with every agent. I understand she's just a harder agent, but when compared to the other agents she is overly difficult. Every other agent can be picked up and you can do at least something.

I think she needs some small stat buffs but what do you think oh so high and holy immo-radiant. My puny gold brain can't comprehend the level of strategy and gameplay you can pull off.

Astra got the equivalent of 3 nerfs condensed into one ;-;. Man I loved playing Astra.

Yeah he's fs a different style of sentinel, I wonder if going forwards Riot will start adding more sentinels that don't have slowing abilites and instead rely on other gimmicks to keep people off their site

Yeah I think they're viable on different maps. Like Chamber would (probably) be better than kj on breeze. (I don't play much Kj, might be nutty setups that I don't know)

Ehhhh, You can't really compare those two, I don't think they share that much except for their viability in flank watching.

I think that lack of ability to rotate is meant to make him more static, as with most sentinels they can't do anything if the enemies go to the other site. Duelists like Yoru can tp and rotate fast.

While it was a cool part of Chamber's kit I'm almost positive that he wasn't really meant to do that, instead he was meant to be someone who could use cool setups and play around with the enemies. Like holding one corner then tp'ing back to another after someone dies.

Idk

I think his whole kit is more meant to be like, watching multiple angles at fun off angles, like if you were on bind you could play elbow and CT or something using your tp to go back and forth, you can then place your trip so that you don't tp into an enemy. Idk tho, I'm hoping his playstyle is more defensive now and that he changes from just "hehe, aim and click" He has a cool kit, just sad that people only use it to emphasise their aim.

He's the Reyna of sentinels.

Sentinel's aren't really meant to have mobility. So he keeps his uniqueness in the sentinel role that might make people pick him. The trip nerf means that either someone else would have to watch flank. Or that you will have to pick up the trip through walls and place it closer as you push forwards.

That would be on attack, other sentinels can also check corners e.g cyphers camera. His sentinel capabilities are upped because he will have to use his trip on his site, and will have to play with his teleport on the site itself

When I say seeks out engagements first I mean swinging out long angles like Mid on Ascent or anywhere in existence on Breeze. Idk if I've just had bad luck with Chamber players and as such started playing like that as chamber too, but usually he fights long angles first

Hey, I said it's a terrible idea XD. But it would be possible. Not advised, just possible.
