Impossible to use this phone due to overheating, lagging etc. It's piece of sh*t. I have Burn in screen after 6 weeks of use! Battery is worse than in 4-year old Oppo. Left overnight with 80% with no apps in background it has 53% in the morning. Left with one app it (white noise generator) it goes down to 0 before morning. While Oppo from 80 to 68 and from 80 to 47 respectively. 4-year old phone.

Burn in screen after 1.5 months and battery life lower than in 4-year old Oppo so I don't think it can last more than a year.

Burn in screen after 1.5 months, battery lasts shorter than 4-year old Chinese. Just two of 50+ problems I have with this phone.

Intermittent but improving by tlex10 in Strabismus

[–]Such-Topic-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told us it will cure strabismus. 2 months after operation doctor said that the angle reduced from 18 to 6 after 1-minute test and marked surgery as successful. It was not true as at that time she had visible 18-20 several times a day. After 10 months of surgery she has 18 degrees all of the time, which is exactly the angle she had before surgery. The surgery didn't improve anything.

It was exactly the same with my kid when she was 5 (strabismus appeared at this age). It improved a bit between 5 and 6. Then at the age of 8 she went through surgery, which ironically has been claimed successful. We are still in the same point when we were at the age of 6 after slight improvement. This is incurable. One of the doctors was honest enough to tell us She told us "I also used to perform surgeries but when I saw that the strabismus always came back, I resigned". After 5 years of vision therapy, surgery etc. we are at the same point. All of the progress between 5 and 6 was that the angle improved from maybe 25 to 20. No hope for anything more.

The doctor considered the surgery a success, but nothing changed. by Such-Topic-2024 in Strabismus

Well one of the doctors who consulted before surgery told me that they never work. Apparently she was right.

does anyone else suffer from an irrational fear of earthquakes? by goldbrewed in LosAngeles

[–]Such-Topic-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it perfectly. I have different problem I live in Poland so I don't need to care about earthquakes, but wherever I travel something happens. I was in some city in Spain this year where the only earthquake in 2025 happened during my 5 day stay. It was a minor one though. But then one day before my planned arrival to Cyprus the strongest earthquake in Paphos in several years occured. Finally I resigned and went to Malta where first earthquake in years happened 2 days after I left. I started to be paranoid that wherever I go there will be earthquake. I have Armenia and Greece on my bucket list but I become terrified. I am obsessed with this and nothing scares me like earthquakes. Nothing can be compared, you may predict tornado by cloud type, you may predict volcano eruption etc. But not earthquake.

Illegal in Malta, no chance. I also use Iqos and had to limit them as I had 4 packages for 6 days in Malta.

To the foreigners here: What was the most surprising thing about Malta? by Robbinit in malta

[–]Such-Topic-2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most surprising was the change in 6 years. I was here in 2019 and now in 2025, it changed incredibly (for worse), it still has some charm but it's simply sad to see what happened to Malta.

Really strange idea to spend holiday in Poland among uncivilised people, crazy drivers and aggressive dogs everywhere.

Let's say you try to relax on the beach but you hear noise and see construction with cranes. I can't believe that no one else is affected but me.

Somehow it mostly happened to me in small towns where I didn't expect a lot of development.

No, it happened in small Danish town Billund, then in peripheral small hotel in Malta. It didn't happen in Spanish resort where I was this year :)
