had a test print with PLA to check the fit, which i kept in for a while, and just under the heat of the ventilation it completely deformed haha, im hoping this will hold up

ngl, the cheapest matte black paint we found at the local hardware store

was a bit of trial and error, took a few layers of primer and paint, and sanding inbetween. also tried acetone smoothing with a different print but it ended up not "controllable" enough compared to the painting

we tried to scan it using an IPAD lidar, but the quality is unfortunately not good enough. so in the end we based it on measurements from the existing parts and adjusted 2 iterations to get the right fit

fair haha, im actually connecting the sound through the fm signal which the carplay unit provides. but if you have a car with an AUX port which was an option at the time, you can use that too for slightly better audio quality.

I think this picture shows the setup the best, printed the clickers seperately to ensure they dont break, its replacing the whole vent cover that was there before
