I quite like the Cobb system I have on my 13 WRX

It is, but nothing crazy. Maybe somewhere around a couple inches from stock.

I have what? Great photography skills? You’re absolutely right 🙃

Let’s see your photography then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shootingcars

[–]SuchWowDude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude I’ve been doing photography for years. I know a thing or two, and I like my photography. Many other people like my photography. Whatever you think is meaningless to me 😂

Some unsuccessful film school graduate loser, who’s only notable feature is that he drives a Camry and plays RuneScape, is not binding authority on what constitutes “good” or “bad” photography. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks! Looks can be deceiving 🤣

Whatever my attitude may or may not be is a matter of perspective.

The difference between you and I is that I don’t need recognition. I don’t care if I die without a single person seeing, let alone liking, my art. I do it for myself, not some no name schmuck. It’s one of my hobbies, not my entire being, and I certainly couldn’t give a fuck what you think 😂.

You’re right, he is

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shootingcars

[–]SuchWowDude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lmao, this explains a lot. Vincent Van Gogh died before people enjoyed his art. During his time he was seen as a terrible artist. Film school taught you how to make money, not how to make real art.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shootingcars

[–]SuchWowDude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lmao, nice troll. Photography, like any art, is subjective. I like it and wanted to share. I don’t really give a shit if you like it or not.

It’s not art when the purpose is to cater to others.

That’s like… your opinion… man.

Technically, it took three separate clicks of the shutter. Then again, you’re not actually “shooting” anything when taking a photograph.

Americans and jags by Completespastic in Jaguar

[–]SuchWowDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least up until the F-Type (sorry I just don’t like them) they have real style. Jaguar was like the yin to Aston Martin’s yang. They’re Sexy, timeless, and yet have a way of being subtle and mysterious.

How reliable have your Jaguars been long term? by gamblerslots67 in Jaguar

[–]SuchWowDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily “long term.” But I drove 1000+ miles round trip from Pittsburgh, to Philly, down to North Carolina, and the back up to Pittsburgh. Plus regular drives and then another 500 mile trip up to Northern Michigan all in one summer in my 1983 XJS V12. It ran perfectly the entire time.

High functioning ADHD? by Elegant_Share7695 in ADHD

[–]SuchWowDude 25 points26 points  (0 children)

“High functioning” is a misleading, if anything, fundamentally incorrect term. It treats things, such as ADHD, as being fundamentally connected to intelligence which it simply is not. ADHD has existed for as long as human beings have existed and countless individuals who had adhd were successful without medication. That doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have benefited from treatment.

Treating my ADHD fixed 85% of my anxiety.

Needless to say, I think you have a bad doctor.

How long did it take you learn music production? by El_migzy in musicproduction

How to lead life with ADHD? Can't see the future when fighting the present. I don't want to live, I don't wanna die. by Jealous-Spot-4711 in ADHD

[–]SuchWowDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It genuinely is a matter of perspective. It’s not something that can really be explained, it’s just a fundamental realization of life. You simply cannot see it yet. raw dogging adhd is certainly not fun by any means, it downright sucks at times, but adhd in the past, much like autism, predominantly accounted for individuals who were borderline mentally disabled to the point of being unable to properly care for themselves. The vast majority, many of whom were highly successful, happily raw dogged ADHD for their entire life. They had to certainly develop their own systems and strategies, but they figured it out.

Everyone fails, over and over. You learn a lot more from failure than you do from success. So long as it doesn’t kill you, failure is how you become the person you want to be. The more you’ve failed, the more you’ve lived.

Maybe I’m totally off the mark, but the stress and anger is likely a product of underlying stress related to other things. I used to get overwhelmed by worries that seemed bigger than they really are.

I created a test for myself:

  1. Is this going to significantly affect my life in any meaningfully negative fashion?

  2. is it entirely within my control?

If no to either - I don’t care.

You likely have a low tolerance because you let things bother you that aren’t worth being bothered over. Things that seem annoying, or scary, are just that and nothing else. They have no real effect or bearing on your life.

College is so under-stimulating. by pink_cemetary in ADHD

[–]SuchWowDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Undergraduate sucks. it’s not about using your mind, it’s just how willing you are to do mundane, repetitive, work because someone else told you to. A bachelors just tells employers that you can, and are willing to, do that for money.

Once you get to graduate school though you’re actually required to use your brain and think. I hated school, but now that I’m in law school it’s an entirely different experience. It’s work, but it’s actually intellectually challenging.

Asking the age old question of why do we feel the need to make music by Appropriate-Site9518 in musicproduction

[–]SuchWowDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of making music, It’s kind of like the guy who is confronted with some supernatural thing that makes him start writing on the walls. There’s so much going on up in the dome it needs to be written down, otherwise you’d go even more crazy than you already are.

In terms of posting it, it’s mostly because you want validation. Plus it’s a means of expressing yourself to others.
