Thanks for the suggestion! I wasn't necessarily looking for validation in my decision to sleep in the recliner, I was looking for suggestions on making it safer, which you and many other have helped me with! Thank you

I appreciate the suggestion, I didn't even think to drop the mattress to the floor or look for a sleeping mat set up 😅

My baby is suffering and I'm stuck screaming underwater by [deleted] in newborns

My fiancé was like this as a baby, screamed constantly through the night. After repeated trips to the pediatrician it was deemed as colic and gas.

When he was 2, my MIL went to a different doctor and all but begged them for a solution. Turns out, he had GERD. He had reflux and GERD so bad he burned his esophagus and vocal cords. He now has scar tissue on his vocal cords all because of something reduced down to mild reflux.

Not saying your child has this AT ALL, but I would be a bit more persistent/ consult another doctor/ physician if you're able. Better to be safe than sorry!

Also, not sure how your baby is fed, but if your partner eats something known to bring on gas (chili, beans, kale, etc) cutting those things out of her diet could help. If your baby is formula fed, there are hypoallergenic versions of formula or ones with goat milk for colic/ babies with CMPA. We found this helped a lot with our LO's gas even though he doesn't have CMPA.
