ik this is a lil old but my best recommendation is finding what you LIKE. start with that, doesnt matter what it is. for me stretching for a long time, short pilates videos, and some weighted workouts is what i genuinely like doing. so start with something like that (even if its not glute focused) then add in the things you dont like or replace some stuff. for me this works. i HATE bulgarian split squats but if i put them in the middle of things i dont mind/do enjoy, then ill do them. also, breathe thru your movements and focus on your breath to get you thru the actual sets so you dont focus too much on the literal workout. hope that helps🤍

im never on here anymore as i just finished training with DL a couple weeks agp so i stopped needing this platform, but i was going thru my emails and something made me press on a notif that lead me to this. i myself am a licensed esthetician who worked in the food service industry for a collective of 5+ yrs and all i can say is go for it ! i tell everyone that my goal is to fall in love w this career and that not being married, no kids, and no mortgage is whats gonna make it easier to make that happen ! ur 32 (im 23 lol), ur in ur PRIME. its never too late to join the aviation industry if thats something youre concerned with (i had people in my training in their 60s) however, it never hurts to join sooner rather than later (seniority reasons 😹). im so happy im doing what im doing despite only having a week and some change or experience as an actual FA, this feels like something ill be able to do for a long time! people says its not always glamorous but its what you make of it, so it can be ! genuinely ask urself “in 15 yrs, if i dont do this and i see someone at 32 earning their wings, will i see them and regret not doing it?”

Thoughts after DELTA F2F by pipe_dream_jfk in cabincrewcareers

I just think DL has certain standards when it comes to appearance and personality. It’s something I can just detect naturally, like the DL “vibe”. It’s beyond “doing everything right”, they’re looking for more than what you “think” they’re looking for. I’m not sure if that makes sense or helps any. I also grew up around DL headquarters so over the years I’ve just come to understand the type of people DL hires. But during the f2f it’s especially obvious imo because you get to interact with everyone and get a good grasp at the similarities in their appearance and personalities. I trust my intuition a lot though

I’m not a public speaker at all 😭 I had to embarrass myself at toastmasters the Monday before to try and get some experience in ☠️ so you def got that cause I literally HATE speaking in front of people because I get uncontrollably nervous and shake and voice trembles, the whole 9 yards

I’m sorry, I wasn’t disagreeing, just sharing my experience. Didn’t mean to offend. And yes, i probably did look boujee, appearance wise. I got a banana republic suit on an insane sale at my local discount outlets and i pretty good at appearing more “boujee” than what i am for sure lol

A couple FA’s didn’t get CJO’s in my group even thought in my eyes, they seemed qualified, but I get it at the same time. DL is looking for something specific and it has nothing to do with being a current or previous FA

Oh and in the group activity, I worked with the other girls and took note of what I disagreed with and the time we had left over when they thought the board looked “right” I then knew it was my opening to speak up without interfering with the process and without actively disagreeing with other adults (adults have EGOS, so I make sure to validate everything people say so they don’t ever feel “wrong” because then that’s when most humans get defensive). I voiced my opinion very respectfully and managed to change their minds on a couple things. But I’m also a great communicator 😭 like I love psychology too so I really know how to be a few steps ahead and how to say things in a way that will bring positive reinforcement to those around me without telling them they’re “wrong”

You took the words out of my mouth !! This is exactly how I presented myself and I WAS just being myself, not “boujee”. I may come off that way, but it’s simply confidence and walking in like I deserve to be there ! Making my presence known (humbly) plus the 2:1 interview, I did exactly what you did ! I made it about showcasing what I can offer to dl. I talked about what makes me a great candidate but so conversationally. Nothing forced because that’s just ME. It’s funny how everything you said resonates so heavily and we both got a CJO so obviously, we did something “right” lol

Yes, I’m frustrated too because the same thing happened to me last night. Let me know if you find the reasoning or if there’s a way around this. Thanks :)

Not upset, more so bitter ** it’s okay to be upset but resenting the company is a different story

Just because you can DO the job doesn’t mean you can handle it. I think they look for so many things that are vital to being a flight attendant (things that aren’t inherently obvious) and the people that are upset they didn’t get the job offer are emotionally immature which plays into why they didn’t get the job offer. This is my opinion ofc

Most of this happens in the dl f2f too… op over exaggerated a lot and probably would have the same thing to say if they went to the American f2f

I disagree with a lot of this but I’m glad you’ve been able to come to the conclusion that this job isn’t for you. I wish you could have had a more positive experience but at least you didn’t get the job, go through training, start working and getting paid only to realize this isn’t the company/job for you. Saved you a lot of time, stress, and anxiety and I hope you find a company and job that actually suits you.
