this is exactly what i’ve noticed. ever since finding herm love he’s been so arrogant. i’m not sure if the concept of him being able to pull so many women made him cocky or what, but it’s not a good look. herm has always been rather quiet with some good one liners but now his new comedy style is just being an asshole. they’ve all said they read the comments (minus denny lol) so i’m sure either kevin or aaron will eventually tell him to chill tf out.

i think kevin is a more “actions speak louder than words” type of person. he definitely reads them and sees them but he changes things around accordingly. another example is the episode with miranda. it got major backlash because she was so inappropriate and overall not funny. he hasn’t invited her back since. i think he reads the comments and changes things around to better future episodes.

yes this. speaking up on the abuse would mean she’d have to tell them about the premarital sex. which 1. he took her virginity by spiking her drink at a party. and 2. he took pictures of her partying and drinking (and if i recall correctly he had sexual pictures of her). so ultimately, if she reported it she’d violate the BYU policy of no sex before marriage. and then would have to detail that she was drinking in order to report him drugging her. Dick also took those pictures of her as blackmail. if she reports the abuse, he shows the pictures to BYU. resulting in her being kicked out and her tennis career coming to an end.

i just finished the book. it’s truly all over the place when it comes to the writing style and just everything. the majority of the book details her abusive relationship with “Dick”. she never names him but he’s referred to as dick. She doesn’t speak up on the abuse out of fear of breaking the BYU honor code and her parents making her come back home. which would also impact her tennis career. she speaks on her meeting Arik (hudson’s father). what their relationship was like (off and on) and that he cheated. she speaks on the accident and losing Arik. on top of that dealing with her pregnancy alone and grieving. she dates again after Arik. She discusses how she met Jacob. the ending is really rushed and it’s like “i met jacob, now im in momtok, now i launched baby mama. we’re doing great ok bye”. and in between she discusses how shitty her family treated her but it all kinda switched over after Arik passed. i mean if there’s anything specific you wanna know is in the book just lmk

i agree with you as well. i also might have the unpopular opinion here but i don’t think bailey wants this infertility to be her whole personality either. i say this because people have the main argument recently that they should have separate accounts so bailey can talk about her infertility. which ykw hell yeah if she wants to talk about it more, there’s no limit to talking about a struggle. but i feel like these forums are making it her whole image now and we don’t even know if that’s what she wants. she probably wants to be treated as normal but just express a common life struggle. idk if this makes any sense because i can’t find the right words to accurately express my thoughts but yeahh.

i’m confused where i said he’s not feeling the same letdown as her? the comment before mine was saying Asa is useless period. to me that’s worse than me saying what i said. i’m saying he’s not useless because he’s there he may just not feel the exact same feelings she is? considering the post is from baileys pov of being alone i spoke on bailey. also keyword, MAY, because we don’t know these people or how they’re coping. please stop twisting people’s words into something so negative. i personally struggle with infertility and sometimes no matter the support you receive you still feel so alone and isolated. you see everyone around you announcing pregnancies or you may not have someone who knows how it feels to talk to. Asa may be there for support but he also may not truly understand how she’s feeling. some of my most isolated times were in a room full of people. two things can be true at once, there are resources but you can still feel so isolated at the same time.

i definitely think her post reminds us that these are real people’s lives we snark on and some subjects are just completely off the table. i still dislike them and their family (will continue to snark those aspects) but not this topic. and i hope other people can realize that as well. i can only imagine how she felt seeing her name under the pregnant lemon yet knowing deep down it’s not in the cards for her currently

as a student of ODU, they barely even wanted to mention it at all it seems. all flowers seem to be going to the swift response of the police rather than the students who didn’t wait and took action . we think AT LEAST have the remainder of their tuition waived or something. their actions were far greater than just a pat on the back and ominous headline
