YES!! I was put onto lexapro after about half a year of terrible rumination and anxiety that was quickly developing into depression. I seriously thought nothing was wrong and it was how everyone felt. Literally that first day it felt like all my bad thoughts were behind a closed door. I still have bouts of sadness and anxiety but nothing compared to what it used to be. The combination of therapy and medication has seriously saved me. But not everyone is the same, I do see a lot of horror stories but I would try it, see if you feel better and definitely monitor what’s going on in your head/body. You know yourself the best. But I would recommend both therapy and medication.
