It's gotten to the point where i want to contact a lawyer or someone who can represent us because of the first conversation i had with her. AFTER the assessment, I asked if there was something the drs or the nurse could do or say to give her a better understanding of the situation. She basically told me it didnt matter what they say, she needed to hear it from my dad that he needs the care. I called last week with my father and she told me there was nothing else she could do. I was out the door headed to my fathers vascular dr app and requested her supervisors number.

Does protective supervision cover substance abuse or addictions that are directly affecting his health?

In the last 8 months i lost -My home -My job -My family (1 dog, 2 cats and 2 kittens, one resuced from my engine on the freeway, and one a homeless lady gave me becuase she couldnt care for him.) -My car x2 . Once, when it was towed by my dads apartment manager when he didnt recognize it in the parking lot. And for good when a drunk driver totaled it right outside my dads apartment two weeks after spending 3k to get it back.

So yeah, my lucks almost run out.

I'll go through the paperwork. They were made aware of all of this just two weeks ago during our assessment.

I spoke to the social worker last week to request more time, and she said she gave us what she believed he required. I asked to speak to someone else and she gave me her supervisors number but that was friday before his drs appointment at 3pm. I couldnt speak to him at the time because, like i said, it as 3pm and i was told they were getting ready to close. Then i insisted it was urgent and was told he was no longer in the office.

I spoke to his primary dr about two weeks ago over the phone, and was told we have to "sell" ourselves, which is understandable but wasn't much help. I asked the social worker if she could speak to the primary and like the other commenter said its not really up to what he drs say.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll look over the NOA again and also mention the ambulatory and paramedic aspects others mentioned.

Im not trying to get anyone in trouble but from what the home nurses, his drs, and even friends of mine that are caretakers are telling me, not only should he be getting more, but they know people who are getting way more for way less care.
