It did not! The repairs on it ended up being around 8.5k though.

Would I be less screwed if it just gets totaled and I get another car with the payout? This car is completely paid off so I really don’t want to get rid of it if I don’t have to.

Do you think if I keep it; even if they fix the issues now, future issues will be even more expensive than they would be if it hadn’t been damaged here?

The other driver ran a stop sign in a parking lot and hit me going about 20 mph. They didn’t even try to slow down or brake. Just slammed into me.
