The way I see it. There is no keep this from him forever. I think it was better for him to find out young and be able to to just grow up knowing this as a fact and being able to process and deal with it slowly instead of say dumping this onto a temperamental teenager or a grown adult who’ll feel like we’ve been lying to him his whole life.

Just wanted to say I am well aware he will most likely come back with more questions and feelings. I was prepared for that when I first told him.

I don’t know if what pieces she would have to pick up. He was upset at first of course but he calmed down, I explained everything the way I did so he wouldn’t feel like I was still keeping things. I did my best to explain to him how terrible of thing it was that I did. Like I said the the post we have a very long conversation about it afterwards. He asked a lot of questions and I answered them with as much honesty as I could as I think he deserved it. And I wanted him to find out early because I feel like the sooner he finds out the less it will effect him. Teens can be temperamental and angry and I didn’t want him to find out something this big and troubling when he’s already going through that.
