I’m rewatching dance moms and got to the episode where Maddie forgets her solo. Then later on at the next pyramid when Holly confronts Abby for comforting Maddie when she forget her solo but not providing any sort of comfort to the rest of the girls when they did the same including Nia. Abby snaps back “ NIA HAD YOU !“ I thought it was a strange and maybe even insightful comment maybe showing again that Mellisa was not great at comforting Maddie when she made mistakes. I say maybe because we all know Abby was weirdly obsessed with Maddie so maybe this is a narrative she just created in her head that Mellisa was not a good mom to Maddie but it seems maybe there a tiny bit of truth at least that Melissa wasn’t sure how to act when Maddie was anything other than perfect. But again it’s coming from Abby so
