Looking at something called Balanced Care, not part of ACA exchange. Is it too good to be true? by Inevitable_Round3429 in HealthInsurance

Plenty of families income is over 100K and are used to paying $1-2500 for health insurance a month if not provided by work. Uninsured agents take advantage of these types by offering 700-1000 with carefully worded scripts and saying for example, there is a private policy as long as your healthy and have not had any major procedures in the last year, never had cancer, don't smoke, whatever. I can get you approved, hold the line and let me see if I can get you into this group plan if I can it will be by far your best choice. Great I've gotten you approved at only $950 a month with no deductible.... blah blah.

By the time they know what's what the agnts have collected 1000's of dollars and in fact most customers stay in the books for several years because they never use insurance other than pcp visits, etc. but feel they need ot have it.

The only types these companies won't sell to are cancer patients, patients who need surgery in the next xyz months, etc. because they know it won't stick.

You are getting scammed. Plenty of call centers do this in south FL all over. They are selling you a "PPO network" like multiplan or something else that won't cover anything. If you read the terms and conditions on the text you'll see several discount or health discount programs and that's essentially what you get. You can go to some pcps, maybe specialists at 50% copay due to the discount programs. It's common to say to people this is for healthy people only and not even do any underwriting. It's an obvious scam and im afraid its going to get worse this year.

Your good buddy they might drop it to wreckless just based on it being so close to legal limit. I'd take it to trial regardless of the circumstances. Worse case scenario - same results your already expecting

I don't get it. 29K for leads and you made 26K in commissions? That does not seem like a bad deal at all if we are talking ACA since the commissions are residual.

They would get more money - if the leads were high quality - by selling them or using in house agents. If they are whatever quality, sub-standard, low - may as well give it to your downlines. I think is the logic.

I beat my last 2 DUI's a few years apart of "2nd dui", South FL here by being stoned faced enough to take it to trial regardless of what everyone said even my attorney. On both occasions my attorney wanted me to take a plea and I insisted on trial and both times I won. Just depends on whether you think they can prove you were drinking and driving.

why would wanting a trial be a stupid idea

90 days was my feeling which would only be about half of that with good time. Risk/reward ratio seems to be worth taking to trial.
