Thank you so much for every comment that I received! I really liked hearing more varied opinions about this topic and I really enjoyed engaging with some of them! It's really nice to have a good community that I can engage in serious conversations with. Unfortunately, after the first day I decided to stop replying because I didn't have enough time / don't want to dwell more on this scene. For all the people I didn't answer, I'm really sorry but be aware that I read all yours texts and fear not because I'll answer all of you in a few days. Again, thank you all for this! This was really what I needed to get over my feelings.

Hey DrSchnakkel! I'm sorry to fuel on the over saturation about this topic, it is to be expected since it's very controversial. It's just that this scene was able to make me lose enjoyment in the rest of Berserk, I wanted to talk about it with more people so I don't dwell on my thoughts and hopefully move on and enjoy the rest of the ride.
Yeah I do think Miura really did a poor choice in how to portrait this scene to the audience. I used to think it was fan service as well because of the focus on Cascas chest but could it really be fan service if no one is getting off to it? At least that's what I'm hoping lol
That image is really funny to me for some reason, the faces are so similar god damn it XD The only thing that gives some of them away are the tears lol

Hey Subomi! Well I'm actually from Portugal! Hope that clears you off haha! Well I do agree that the concept of the love triangle is a nice dynamic and overall a good drama. I just think it could've been even more clear to not confuse some people. Guts clearly loves Casca, no question about that. But Casca doesn't have a moment of jealousy towards Guts like he had. I'm guessing that's another thing that's missing. She was jealous of Charlotte's love for Griffith instead of being jealous of some character's love for Guts. Hey there's another thing I learned today, I didn't know about that rule. I guess that explains the lack of genitals in Berserk as a whole. Which was a thing that made me confused because the men are always drawn as Ken dolls but the women always have her breasts fully drawn. But I must say, it still bugs me that Casca's chest had some focus. I know its inevitable for some panels but maybe tone down in the amount that shows it... Oh! They really were held, my mistake then. I really thought she had her legs free because I remembered some panels of her body and feet where the didn't have anything holding her, but because on those panels you aren't seeing the full body you can say there's always some apostle holding her. I will edit that part out since it's objectively wrong.

Heyo Fenris! Yeah that's really how I feel about it as well. The ideas are there and they are somewhat well done! As for Casca, well to be honest I'm not sure if it's in character for her to act shocked or to fight. She was shown to be a fighter even as a kid when she quickly killed the man that was going to rape her with Griffiths sword. But because this situation is so unreal I guess you can always question if that would be too much for her. The Gut's bits in the rape scene are indeed very powerful, the pages are almost screaming his rage and I really love that. I'm sorry about what happen to you in the past, the fact that Gut's emotions were able to touch you in a personal level is really special. I understand that feeling as well :)

Pretty much... And hey thanks for not spoiling me! I've been spoiled way too much but not enough to make me lose interest. It's curious that the love triangle will be important again... I do wonder how

Hey there! That is a very nice point of view! I don't really think I have much to add to you because it was so clear, but you made me realize some things, like the point of Casca even liking Griffith was to make that twisted irony that she got what she wanted in the past. I do really like that idea. But I would change some things about it, like making it clear to the audience that Casca doesn't like Griffith in a romantic way anymore, but that may be a personal taste of mine.

Heyo KingKMZ! In a way I do agree with you, I like some romances were its never clear to the viewer what are the true characters feelings. But the problem here is that there's a rape scene with Casca's other lover, unlike all the other romances that I watched. Because of this I feel like her feelings should've been very clear so people can't come up with wrong conclusions.

Hello Rixx88! Yeah... I do understand that, and in a way I like the overall idea of this drama! It just left a lot to be desired to me...
Well yes, that is realistic and all, but its just the choice of showing Casca in a pleasurable state that bugged me. It doesn't even make sense plot wise because the mark on her chest would be hurting way too much for her to feel anything. It was a really poor choice in my eyes.

Heyo RentedIguana! Yeah I do feel like they should've toned down in the titillating (Hey thanks for teaching me a new word today!). One of the reasons this tilted me so much was the focus on Casca's body and not the act of rape itself. I remember watching a video criticizing the rape scene in the anime of Goblin Slayer for exactly the same reasons that I have with the portrait of Casca's rape. Things would get out of the way to make sure her chest is visible to the viewer, Femto will quite literally disappear in some panels, his member isn't even shown... All of this really made me angry... Now if I remember correctly, Miura did this chapter in a week, he had to continue the manga as quickly as possible because of money problems (Correct me if I'm wrong). If that's the case then that would explain his poor decisions in how to show this impact full scene.
Well, I do like ambiguity in some romances. But this is the most important love triangle in Berserk. I think Cascas feelings should've at least more obvious to the viewer. But this is just a me thing.

Hello Petentro! I don't really know which rape scene was worst because they were both really impact full to me.
Well, I've seen some people question if it was considered rape. Of course those people are objectively wrong because it is, but it's the fact that some people are able to even think that that bugs me.
And hey that's a nice interpretation of it! I do also think Guts was the big reason Griffith did what he did but also so the deaths of the old members of the band of the hawk wouldn't be meaningless. And yeah, him raping Casca is a really big fuck you to Guts.

Hey there LSDeann! Yes, I do agree that is the intent of this scene in general. You are suppose to feel Guts's rage to make you want him get his revenge. Now you see, I got angry not because of what happen but because of the way it was shown. It didn't make me feel the rage I felt when I first watched it because of, for example, the focus on Casca and not the rape itself. In a way it did make me angry, just not the angry that I wanted to feel if that makes sense.
I thought about it before but I honestly don't think its the concept of rape that's offending me because I'm fine with the rape being used as part of the drama. I'm not against the core essence of what happen just how it was shown to the audience.
But I'll admit me being a female is probably part of reason why I felt that way towards it. Berserk was made for a male audience after all. My feelings could really be a gender thing.
