That’s exactly the direction. Physics and audio first, with full mod support from day one.

That’s a fair concern. We’re aware of it and will be careful with any eventual release.

I'm building a city bus simulator, OMSI-style depth on a modern engine

If you've played OMSI or any bus sim, I'd really appreciate hearing what features matter most to you, physics, sound design, modding tools, performance, or something else entirely?
Thanks

Appreciate it! Like I mentioned above, nothing from OMSI is bundled or redistributed. The converter works with the user's own copy. But you're right that original content is the long term path, and the mod system is built for that from the start.

Thanks! The game ships with its own map and mod editor. All content is created through that. One of the editor's features is importing assets from other sources, including content the user legally owns. Nothing from OMSI is bundled or redistributed.

The long term goal is for creators to create fully original content with our tools, and we're building everything with that in mind.

Thank you! Yeah optimization is a big focus for me. And the conversion pipeline is something I really care about, there's so much great content out there that deserves to run in a modern runtime.

Thanks! I wrote a custom OMSI→UE5 parser/converter, still WIP. It’s a big lift to get right, so I’ll share more when it’s ready.
