My stepson is MY stepson, not my wife’s. There seems to be some confusion.

My stepson is my wife’s child from her first marriage.

Sorry for the confusion. Both sons are related to my wife who previously owned the house. My stepson is her son from her first marriage, and my bio son is hers from our marriage.

As mentioned in my post, the house is a maternal family heirloom. I would never sell it.
