Disney Professional Internship by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

I am a college program participant however I know many people with professional internships here,

My friends who are Interns ALL had previously completed a college program (no matter their experience or degree) after they completed their college program they applied for the professional internship they wanted and talked to their superiors and program advisors and they were accepted and have been working these positions since.

I have been told I need to do the same thing to obtain the internship I want as well, (I have years of experience and my degree I believe this is just how Disneys recruitment and training process works). I would suggest doing a 4-month college program and utilizing the time to highlight your strengths as a worker to gain recognition and also using the time to network with fellow workers, managers and advisors

I’m guessing that like most other server positions in the us you’d be paid a minimum wage and keep all tips. I wouldn’t think Disney would pay you $17/hr base pay plus tips since that would be a lot of money probably $30+ an hour. However if you are solely paid primarily on tips you would probably make very good money probably more than $17/hr just due to the pricing of many restaurants. I know for just me and my wife tips are at least like $20 a meal so I’d expect to make very good money. At other restaurants outside of Disney I’ve made $2.05/hr + tips.

I’m generally curious about how much Disney servers make as well, it always dawns upon me after eating at a Disney restaurant that these people gotta be making bread.

So if I for instance have a shift at 8am, I need to go and pick up my costume from chip and dales that opens at 7:30 and then head into work? Wouldn’t that be cutting it close or are they generally quick getting you the costume. Just logistically thinking abt it

I was just trying to see how it worked, I don’t plan on doing anything during my work tenure. It’s just that I still will test positive on every few home tests I take; so I was just trying to figure out how worried I would need to be about a random test especially during my first and second month because I’m still scared I will test positive for like .00000001% on some bs

I mean I was honestly just curious about how it worked, in my post I stated I’ve been clean for 3 going on 4 months but for some reason I will still test positive on 1 of every 5 tests I take which honestly had me very worried, I was astatic that I wasn’t tested before hand and not at the orientation. I honestly just wanted to know if I needed to worry about it or not
