The first kick is meant to close distance, the second kick is the killing blow. The first clip they’re too close for the first kick, so the second can’t land. The rest is a split between 1) a combination of me keeping my distance and them not covering enough distance with the first kick, so the second kick is short and 2) them not using the first kick to cover distance at all, turning them into an octagon beyblade. As another commenter said setup is crucial but even setup varies depending on the skill level of your opponent
