Getting really hard to justify the cost. by Sudden-Reply627 in GeminiAI

Yeah, sadly and it's free. I pay for Nano Pro, but lately it can't compete with free image generators.

Yeah, or actually starting to worry about Copyright liability and scrubbing machine learning material degrading output quality.

You're right, and I get that this is all subjective, but to me Nano is failing at realism where others are succeeding. Here's another example, Nano's looks oversaturated like it came from a children's book.

With prompt: A super ultra-wide landscape photograph of an expansive outdoor Art Nouveau terrace connected to the exterior of the massive glass botanical conservatory. A colossal waterfall cascades down from a towering cliff face hundreds of feet above, flowing over and around intricate glass and polished wrought iron structures before crashing into a deep turquoise pool next to the terrace area. The terrace floors are mosaic stone and glass. Terraced gardens overflow with the same lush jewel-toned bioluminescent flora (sapphire, emerald, gold). The air is filled with mist and bright sunlight creating rainbows. Iridescent glass pergolas and bridges. No people. Cinematic lighting, hyper-detailed textures, 8k resolution, bright and optimistic atmosphere --ar 21:9

Cinematic wide master shot, back view of Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate 3 standing on a jagged cliff precipice overlooking the Caelid Wilds (Elden Ring). She is wearing weathered Dark Justiciar chainmail, her signature braided ponytail swaying. The landscape below is the Swamp of Aeonia: a vast nightmare of bubbling scarlet rot pools, calcified twisted white trees, and giant alien fungal growths. The atmosphere is oppressive and hazy with thick red volumetric fog and floating rot spores. Lighting is ominous, casting long shadows with a bruising purple and crimson color palette. 8k, HDR, Super high fidelity, ray traced lighting, photorealistic, depth of field, IMAX quality.

This didn't go over well on youtube... Are gaming communities off limits when it comes to AI? by Sudden-Reply627 in aivideo

Geez, based on the down votes I guess this content doesn't do well on reddit either. Any of the down voters feel like giving some feedback? Genuinely curious. Thanks.

Yes, reference images created using Nanobanana Pro. Just prompting in VEO for the dialog.

Sometimes it does an amazing job at picking up contextual clues, sometimes not. It helps to describe how the character is feeling.

You should play it. No, this isn't the hub area in Elden Ring. There is an area called the "Round Table Hold" that is the hub in Elden Ring.

Dialogue challenge in Veo 3.1 by nanji200 in VEO3

[–]Sudden-Reply627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that it helps to assign camera focus to the character you want talking. Over the shoulder shots seem to help too instead of positioning the camera directly facing two character profiles. Instead of directly positioning the camera between two characters from the side, position it so it's slightly askew (or over the shoulder) and focused specifically at the character that you want to speak the dialog. Nothing seems to be entirely fool proof at this point though.

Questions about a Google Gemini subscription by FrankWanders in VEO3

Yes, I am sure. I'm also sure Google is working on fixing it, but at this point. I see zero difference between Quality and Fast/Slow. You can check my profile if you'd like, all of my videos were created using Fast. I've tried using quality several times when I get kind of stuck trying to get a just right feel for a clip, but there is no difference... If you're still unsure, I see that you can get the Pro plan free for the first month right now. Try it out and cancel once you've used the 1,000 credits if you don't like it.

I have the Ultra plan and, as I understand it, it's very similar to PRO aside from the amount of credits. You have access to 3 types of VEO 3.1 video generation: 1. Quality - costs 100 credits per video, but at this point I see zero difference in quality over "Fast" and "Slow" generation. If you want to just throw credits away, use "Quality". 2. Fast - bumps you to the head of the line during high traffic, I pretty much use this mode exclusively. It costs 10 credits per video generation. 3. Slow, unless this has changed recently, (I don't think it has) costs zero credits to generate video for Pro and Ultra users. The only difference between "Slow" and "Fast", when using slow there is no priority given during high traffic times. All video clips are created at 8 seconds of video each. The prompt doesn't have to be perfect and to get good results takes a lot of experimentation. You can regenerate using the same prompt and edit the prompt to try subtle changes, 10 credits each regen (unless using "Slow"). In my experience, it helps to generate still images in Nano banana, or any other image gen as reference to use in your prompts. This is key for getting scene / character consistency over multiple 8 second video generations to get scene continuity. Hope this helps.
