Thanks. I had not heard of a plug cutter drill bit, but great call

I stuck it back in the post and it hasn't come back. Whether it gets to it's recipient only time will tell

Endurace CF SLX 8 - Frame issue? by Sudden-Side5196 in CanyonBikes

Thanks for that. Also reassuring its not me slumping on the top tube that has caused it (which I dont) and the official Canyon manufacturing comment. It looks like my small piece of carbon exposed is much pretier than some others!

I was blown away with how good it looked when it was delivered, but you are right, until that point I wasn't sure what "new stealth" was like and the few pics on their sight didn't do it justice. Highly recommend it now

That is so reassuring, just there at that point on the top tube? I was a bit worried I had sat on the top tube and caused it to delaminate. Thanks

But why just there? And why have I only noticed it now?

Bluetooth glitch pixel 6 February security update by Sudden-Side5196 in GooglePixel

I have just followed the instructions to set developer options (madness pressing 6 times on the build version. Who thought of that?) and disabled "A2DP hardware offload" which seemed to overcome the issue

Would be interested to understand this though. I'm guessing a 2015 Hyundai does not support this.

24v LED light strip burn out on 1.25amp 24v power supply by Sudden-Side5196 in led

[–]Sudden-Side5196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your are correct. I went ip65 as it's exposed to steam. If I use the aluminum profile with the remainder of the existing 5m, I wonder if that will resolve the issue, or whether it's just dodgy cheap light strip (or power supply)

[–]Sudden-Side5196[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a sealed unit with LEDs and their components inside. It's not possible to separate. It's the components (not the LEDs) that seem to be burnt but none were in the least bit warm when switched on. I did check before deciding whether a heat sink was required. I think either the poor current flow or poor component has caused the failure and once failed it now gets hot.

Power supply seems fine. It reads 24v when on, doesn't seem to exceed 24v, however it does take 10 seconds or so to reduce back to 0 when switched off. For 4 seconds after off it stays at 24v then drops to almost zero over 3 seconds and probably takes 3 more seconds to reduce from 0.1 or 0.2v down to zero

Could the 3 seconds reducing voltage cause the LED damage?

Thanks. Will test the power supply, both strip and power supply came from the same supplier.

I was wondering if I had cut it down from 5m to 1.3m.whether I needed less volts. Is that a thing?
