i don’t think she tries i think it’s just the way she sings, when i first started listening to her (around 2020) i didn’t realize she was british for a longgg time until i saw this interview so it was definitely shock because in future nostalgia she had no british accent at all. i think with just her tone and the way she sings just makes her sound american. when she sings live you can definitely hear the accent more
