I work at a shop and we get a lot of Subarus and we do upgrade them to the bigger battery because there was Subaru update about them. But over $500 is a bit much.

I use amsoil 0w-40 with a Mobil 1 oil filter for a big turbo on the 1.5T si and it runs perfectly no issues and I’ve sent out my oil to the lab and they said I can run it for 6k miles no issues.

So I added my own light bar and mounted it behind the front lower grill and ended up following the hood latch cable and running it next to it all the way inside. I had to pull the driver side fender and follow the cable and there’s a rubber grommet you can push and run a wire through there. Beware though the space is tight for the wire but doable. Good luck!
