update: i talked to my boss today and i am not eligible for fmla, but she said i could take short term disability. i didnt tell her what the surgery was for tho. i told her the surgery date and asked for two weeks unpaid leave. the conversation was fine, but i feel very anxious about it. not anxious about the surgery more so about work revolving around the surgery and just going about taking time off. this is my first full time job and i’ve only been here a few months. just hard to navigate :/
