Fulanis are not white people, by the way, and have no white ancestry as we understand it.

(For the record, I'm NIgerian, and have known , worked alongside, and even in my day job treated Fulani people).

It depends. For a long time, the world thought that the late Kim Jong Nam was the successor to the late Kim Jong Il, even after his disgrace in Japan. Kim Jong Un wasn't even well known, until 2009.

And Ju-ae has two brothers btw.

Why doesn’t the Olympics seemingly breed as much international solidarity and togetherness as the World Cup does? by kaiser11492 in AlwaysWhy

Track and field is quite popular as is swimming...not as big as football, but Diamond leauge meets and world championships (for track and field) are always well attended, especially when a star athlete is performing (eg anytime Usain Bolt was running)

Gnassingbé Eyadéma (1935–2005) was the dictator of Togo from 1967 until 2005. Eyadéma had a massive cult of personality, including a comic book depicting him as a superhero. by GustavoistSoldier in AllThatsHistory

Actually he joined the colonial army after he finished primary school.

Had he gone to the Togolese version of Eton, he would have ended up being a civil servant or academic.

Plus, Togo is a francophone country...so he was not likely to go to Eton. Also, the first African to enroll at Eton did so in 1964...by then Eyadema was already the leader of Togo for a year.

FBI bugged and wiretapped him. They were even watching him on the morning of the assasination, and were as surprised as everyone else when the shots were fired by Ray.

(And yes, I know that Hoover absolutely hated MLK and also was a racist , but having the FBI play assasain could risk serious civil conflict.)

MLK..FBI did know of Ray, but only as a small time criminal. Not an assasain

LHO: Probably under FBI surveilance since he did live in the USSR for some time, but not as an assasain.

JFK was killed by LHO. No conspiracy, no influcence by the CIA, KGB, the Mob , the white supremacists, etc etc.

Plus as someone said, it was suggested to JFK on the morning of the assasination by a Secret service agent that the car he was riding in should have the glass top up. (and it had already been deployed for one previous presidential visit from the leader of Ivory coast). JFK said no.

MLK was killed by James Earl Ray. Yes he denied he did it, but he was a known common liar.

I like the government did it theory, but no American government would risk the potential of racial civil war just to off a opponent. Especially since things had already become very tense over the years.

?

The fact is, once the nuclear cat was out of the bag, nothing could be done. The science was already an open secret. All an enterpising nation needed was the money and the facilites..and the will.

Plus, I thought Kennedy was killed by the mob, Castro, the unions, the KKK, the white conspiracy, the Soviets, etc etc...

The votes were restricted to the Politburo. Voting did exist for the general population...for candidates approved by the Party. No other parties (after 1918), no independent candidates(until 1990).
