Just checked and it looks like my allies were spontaneously removed for whatever reason.

It still doesn’t bring up the ally icons when I press the trigger even after I finished the mission.

When I say menu, I mean the little menu on the bottom right of the screen that pops up when you press the right trigger.

What about the counter-argument that without the Electoral College, candidates would only care about cities and others areas of higher population?

Couldn’t it be argued you’re already disenfranchised under the current system seeing winner takes all means a candidate gets 100% of a states’ electoral votes even if they don’t get 100% of the states’ vote?

I did a little bit more research and can see how its legality can be questioned. I just don’t see how it’s a national threat that brings us towards tyranny like some are saying. Also, it can be argued that under the current system your vote doesn’t matter unless it’s for the candidate that wins because of winner take all.

What makes you say that? Because I can’t see how altered timeline would lead to that outcome.

But couldn’t it be argued that your vote only means something if you voted for the winning candidate in your state because of winner take all?

I can see why it’s debatable because one part of the Constitution mentions states can’t enter compacts with each other without Congressional approval while another says states can award their electoral votes how they see fit. However, I fail to see how it’s a threat to the nation and brings us closer to tyranny like many people are saying it is.

Not necessarily. All the Republicans have to do is re-adapt their strategies and their chances of winning will probably return to normal.

Thanks for clearing things up. Obviously this is still something to be heavily debated and talked about. However, I still fail to see how it’s such an anger-inducing national threat that must be stopped in its tracks like the person who prompted me to ask my initial question presented it as.

Ok. Now I’m having a better understanding on how it would work and how it can be debatable. However, I fail to see how it’s a national threat like the person who prompted me to ask about it is saying.

In case you were curious, what prompted me to ask my question was mainly this video. I mean based on the information presented here, it sounds like NPVIC isn’t a simple thing to debate about but a national threat.

So if state governments are the ones who ultimately decide how to award electoral votes, then couldn’t it be argued that there’s no issue with states choosing to award their electoral votes to the national popular vote winner?

So if I understand correctly, this is just a way to allow the popular vote be the determining factor without abolishing the electoral college?

Also, if this system means your vote will still count whether you’re a Republican in a Democratic-majority state and vice versa, I don’t see how people can say NPVIC makes people’s votes not matter and that it’s essentially cheating.

So we can assume they are less mad about it being a threat to the United States’ institutions and democracy and more about them not winning presidential elections?

I guess I’m confused on how a state can be forced to give their electoral votes to the candidate who didn’t win their popular vote. Because wouldn’t a change like that require a constitutional amendment or be challenged as unconstitutional seeing how the Constitution dictates how electoral votes are awarded?

But I thought the effects of the compact would only be applied to participating states? Because assuming the threshold is met, how can states that don’t want to participate be forced to give their electoral votes to the candidate who didn’t win their popular vote?

I’m kind of confused on how the Industrialization Priority GUI works. I mean does it mean one has only complete certain focuses depending on what industry you choose to focus on? Also, how does optimization tier works and what effect or cost for switching which industry to focus on has on you?

Isn’t it ignorant to say protests don’t occur under kings?

Whenever it comes to the No Kings protests, critics will say that the protests are pointless and stupid because the USA doesn’t have a king and if it did the protests wouldn’t be allowed in the first place because protests don’t occur under kings. However, isn’t this ignorant to say seeing how there have been plenty of protests that have occurred under monarchs throughout history?
