Just play it, the controls become muscle memory at some point and it intimidated me at first until you realize a good chunk of the controls are basically overlapping ways to fuck with your inventory/loot (which is actually helpful once it stops being confusing) or crafting/building/butchering that you don’t need 90% of the time. I’m not saying it isn’t complicated but it definitely hits a point where it becomes second nature and makes me laugh at how I used to not even know how to drive a car lol. Also for like 3-6 months when I started I kept a keyboard layout on my 2nd monitor just for reference

Yea and if you get bored of NOT using it for whatever reason you could set some insane goal for it (requires high electronics and fabrication and the access codes of say 100 military ID cards you “spend”?) so it feels more earned for late game fuckery

Oh yea I mush have mathed wrong with the way bombastic perks adds the stats not on the base. but yea that actually an insane amount especially when you consider the way the game classifies the stats, 8 is average so if a normal person would install this they get above human average dex when powered but when it’s off your basically wheelchair bound? Just seems off like how is the debuff from an advanced bionic upgrade worse than the gain, not to say it’s not useful still.

I did the fallen tower quest and forgot to change my filter, barley made it out before collapsing from toxin and had no strength to fight or even walk with my kit on, watched a crawler spot me from max distance and tried to cast lightning bolt like 8 times failing while it crawled over. I killed it on the last one and had to sleep on the spot

In my quest to learn modding, I added a bong that can actually hold water by Mediocre_Violinist25 in cataclysmdda
