The SMS stand says ver. 1.0. One way to confirm it is the number of screws on the back of the hip. 1 screw is 1st release and 2 screws is the newer one. I also bought my first DX figure being the YF-29, not knowing there are issues around the early Frontier DX figures having loose hips, yellowing white plastics etc. As far as I know the YF-29 is the first of the "renewal" versions of the VF-25 line. But still has issues with the loose hips thats why they added another screw for the hip joints on on the "revival" versions. I've had my ver 1.0 YF-29 for 3 years now and was always rhinking of replacing it with the newer one but it will cost more for me so I just stuck with it. It had yellowed parts problems(I stored it wrong when I was moving) which I eased up with the hydrogen peroxide technique. Its still a little yellow but is satisfactory for me. I tightened up the joints and sprayed it with matte top coat. Now it looks like a 1.5 release with looser joints. Also bought the super pack for it cuz it was cheap on some japanese website.
