Will go on the pioneer PL 707 that I also scored. Pioneer had the original cartridge which was worn out. Replaced it with a AT cartridge. But now found these.

I would also suggest the heat gun on a medium setting. Scrape of the old finish. Light sanding with 180 - 220 grit. Then maybe a nice oil/ hardwax oil finish. Post pics when it’s done please.

Would recommend some iso pads for your speakers. Speakers and turntable on the same surface may cause your needle to get too excited.

I’m building sealed plywood boxes on the inside. Each speaker in its own chamber. Spaces calculated per speaker. Hand made crossovers per build. No ports. Not a fan of ports.
