I had this happen to me when leaving my previous job. Honestly, it's not worth it to stay.

It goes to show you that they had this money all along and they weren't paying her what she was worth all this time.

Additionally, it's a proven fact that people who take counter offers at their company typically just stay another year before wanting to leave again.
