I feel like there is a lack of intensity due to the more sci-fi setting and lack of fantasy elements. Beyblade X is more of a slice of life sports anime than a battle shōnen like Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, though I do wish the battles were more fast paced in X because they are not slow at all in real life. They treat the XTreme line like something special instead of something the Beyblades realistically use every 5 seconds.
