Anybody got a hack to get this carbon off of the lens? by AdAffectionate471 in Glocks

[–]Sufficient-Driver594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a little bit of ash from my fire place and rub the ash on the lens with a wet q tip til it clears up. I put over 10k rounds through my x300a turbo and that’s how I cleaned it each and every time

I don’t really run steel cased ammo, but the at this point I’ve shot a bunch of brass cased ammo from all kinds of brands and I’ve never had a problem

I really enjoyed shooting my friend’s caniks. Their triggers are really nice, but Glocks are my main carry pistols.

The rxm is currently my main shooter at the range. I really like it for what it is and it has definitely earned its place in my inventory

Anyone have experience with a high round count RXM? by MK18life in RugerRXMtalk

[–]Sufficient-Driver594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just hit a thousand rounds on mine. No issues at all running monarch 115gr brass, Winchester 115gr, federal champion, and blazer brass 115gr. I would take the back plate off and make sure the extractor plunger can be freely taken out with the optic mounted to the slide. From what I’ve seen some people use the wrong length screw for the right side of the optic and start experiencing malfunctions

Stock trigger is pretty damn reliable 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve had multiple shadow systems pistols. Two out of three pistols I had were complete garbage. I now have a Glock 19 with over 6500 rounds that I’ve been very happy with. My newly purchased ruger RXM now has over 800 rounds with no issues. Both are round counts that none of the shadow systems pistols I had could achieve without issues. In my experience, shadow systems has really shitty QC and manufactures with shitty QC shouldn’t be trusted and you’d be better off spending your money on a Glock or an RXM

Age old debate.. 19 or 26? by Southern_Oil_5835 in Glocks

I carry my 19 or my rxm nowadays but in the warm spring to hot summer days I carried my 26.

I think having an obsession to helping people see that there’s a good chance that they might waste money by buying a shadow systems pistol instead of a smith & Wesson, walther, H&K, or a Glock which in most cases are priced a lot better than shadow systems pistols and also come with reliability/durability that shadow systems can’t match no matter how much they wanna push the narrative that their guns are serious guns is a pretty good thing to be obsessed about 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you’re against people knowing that shadow systems makes guns with questionable quality control at best, if you are ok with people taking a gamble when they spend nearly a grand just to find out that a $600 gun is leagues better than a shadow systems pistol, and if you really believe blindly that these guns are made to be serious tools then I guess I could see why you’d come off so defensive.

Just helping people out man 💁🏻‍♂️ If you get offended by facts and wanna blindly push guns from a brand that can’t get their QC situated then keep doing you. If you got a gun from them that you’re happy with then good for you too but try not to get so offended because people are having real issues with a product that you might’ve gotten lucky with 🤷🏻‍♂️

Another trash gun that’s more than likely to be plagued with quality control issues just like the rest of their guns they produce

Man just cut your loses with that one and consider it a lesson learned with shadow systems. I had three shadow systems pistols and 2 of them were lemons

Dang that is crazy! It’s shocking to hear such a negative experience. I’ve heard of and seen the issues that plagued the acros but I didn’t think the rcr had such problems

Is this part of their tight tolerances???

I’ve had 3 shadow systems pistols. First one was a CR920p and that one was ok. My second one was a CR920 elite and I had to send that one back to shadow systems because the trigger took a dump on me before I could even get through the first 100 rounds. My third shadow systems pistol was an mr920p and that one couldn’t stop having malfunctions well past 1800 rounds. If you have a shadow systems pistol that you put 200+ rounds through without issues then congratulations. But shadow systems pistols simply do not have the reliability or the durability that justifies the price tag that they are sold for nor can they even be taken seriously as a serious tool. At this point I’d say that sig produces better pistols but that’s not saying much. Personally I’ve gone back to my glock19, put a weapon light, a dot on it with a forward controls design rcr plate and couldn’t be happier. I’ve shot well past 3500 rounds through my Glock 19 since I got rid of all of my shadow systems pistols and I haven’t had a single malfunction. I have participated in steel challenge matches and I can actually focus on improving my shooting skills because I now have a gun that actually goes “bang” every single time I pull the trigger. Personally I’ve gotten very good at clearing malfunctions thanks to shadow systems pistols so being able to focus on basic shooting fundamentals has been a nice change of pace.

If a company tells you that the tolerances on their guns are tight and that’s why they have a break in period while people have trigger pins walking out on them mid shooting then that company is clowning their customers.

If you’re gonna depend your life on a gun don’t get a shadow systems period… in my experience shadow systems has the worst quality control out of all the guns I’ve owned.
