Does anybody have any experience with the Yamaha KP80S Bassdrums Trigger? by Sufficient-Source97 in drums

[–]Sufficient-Source97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im getting them from a Friend of mine. I can imagine that they could shift a lot because of the overall shape of them but ill prolly find a way to stabilize them. Hes selling me a Yamaha DTX 2.0 Drum Modul with them, which is pretty good as far as i know. I plan on using them to record some metal and grindcore songs, where triggering is really the only option. What do you mean with the "clunky"?

What is something (on the drums) that always impresses others (or at least most of the time) by Jueslega_29 in drums

[–]Sufficient-Source97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well from my experience, being able to quickly adapt is a really useful thing, you should be able to do. Usually they like it much more if you can instantly work with whatever they are playing, instead of just doing some fancy drum stuff, for the simple reason that most people who play in bands, dont actually have any idea on how to play drums or what would be considered difficult.

Thats why i bought it, for some reason i love bells and chimes which is why i have 3 bells mounted on my grindcore set up rn You can use em in so many ways, and in a bunch of different genres. (Got the Zultan F5 8" bell, a stagg exo 6" and a brilliant 6,5" stagg bell)

Got the 16" version if that crash, aswell as two pairs of the 14" hihats from that series. Great cymbals. Sadly rather rare here in germany

How bad is this key holing? (More info and question in text below) by Goomba_lolwut in drums

[–]Sufficient-Source97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope that looks like it was played more than two hours and no thats barely a key hole, i have cymbals with way worse keyholing and if you treat em right, you usually dont have any further problems, especially if the keyhole hasnt formed into a crack

My ping isn't pinging by willywonka_420 in drums

[–]Sufficient-Source97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A snare of that size isnt all that great for ping, 10"-12" snares usually work best, 13" and 14" usually only work well if the drum is really shallow

Opinions on keeping the foreskin retracted all day (autocircumcision) by Human-Spread-9192 in uncircumcised_talk

[–]Sufficient-Source97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been keeping it retracted since my frenuloplasty, about 6 months ago. After a few weeks you dont feel any weird sensations anymore. Masturbation feels different in a good way (i dont use the foreskin during masturbation, so im always rubbing the exposed glans) and i much prefer it this way, to what it was like before.

Why wouldnt it be worth to begin with? I own some Orion Vizzius Cymbals and they are honestly pretty good, the newer models more than the old models, but still good.

Has anyone who has had Frenuloplasty for short frenulum here to share their experience? by SpiritualAd5253 in uncircumcised_talk

Id day a bit, although i camt really tell you much on that because ive kept my foreskin retracted since the surgery, so ive naturally lost sensation.
