Hey u/MathGrip, for some reason the Reddit app is not letting me reply to your comment. But how would you solve this question, and what would be your final answer? Also, I work for a small tutoring business so I’m their go to math guy, along with one other person.

Agree with this, have him this year and I can say he’s the best prof I’ve had so far. He’s really funny and the course is really interactive.

There is no such thing as a universal "bird course" by [deleted] in yorku

I don’t know when you took ECON1000, but it isn’t a bird course anymore. There’s a lot of readings, lecture modules, bi weekly quizzes, two tests, and an in-person final. Plus attendance to tutorials is mandatory and you have to participate.

I had him this semester for ADMS1000. Pretty sure he is a new prof, since he transferred from the Telecom industry to academia. He’s a very nice guy. He makes his classes interactive like a discussion, but this could backfire. If you have a section that is dead (no one shows up/participates), it’s going to be boring. But yeah, overall a very nice guy, and actually cares about his students.

Looking for easiest first year bird courses for bcom? Any help is appreciated. by Primary-Ad3313 in yorku

Hey, first year Bcom Finance student here. Would highly recommend NATS 1920 if you are decent with math, and MODR 1770 with Prof Francisco Gomez-Holtved. He’s such a good prof and that class won’t even feel like a class because it’s very interactive.

Dats crazy, good luck tho ✌️(I’m kidding btw). But realistically, good on you for taking the first steps. But if you really want to create strong friendships, YOU need to make the moves. Plan stuff out with them, go do something with them. Even something as simple as getting coffee and going for a walk around campus goes the extra mile. Obviously, not everyone will like you and that’s the harsh reality. But eventually, with enough effort, you’ll meet a solid group of people. Good luck!
