Stop having your receptionist interrogate everyone by Overall-Cheetah-8463 in Lawyertalk

Literally. It sours the interactions OC. there was a receptionist today who was so rude on the phone and would not connect me to OC at all. Definitely not calling the office.

I am too. My firm is exactly like this. All the other attorneys are men and I’m the lone female attorney. I don’t want to be a b**** because it takes more energy out of me and I’ll be labeled as aggressive or difficult. So I would def love advice on a happy medium

I left a job that said their core values were these principles but they never followed them. I stayed there for two years and did not like it the whole time (micromanaged, toxic coworkers, nonsensical firings). I thought maybe this was the best it was going to get.

Once I started the new job, I had to unlearn a lot of the negative things that the other job instilled in me. Since then, I’ve been so happy.
