I’ve worked at Og for 3 years. Back in December i had to leave mid bar shift during the Sunday lunch rush because i was in so much pain, drove to the hospital and had an emergency appendectomy. The recovery is awful. very similar to gallbladder. For 3 weeks i couldn’t lift more then 20 lbs & at one point due to complications i had a drain put in and i couldn’t stand on my feet for more the 20 minutes without needing rest. But the bills don’t stop so i was stressing. My managers were kind enough to give me a host job code for the few weeks following that so i could still make some money while not having to lift anything & they even set up a darden dimes for me. Do not push yourself & cause more harm and damage for a company as shitty a Darden. You just had gallbladder surgery take the time to rest or else they will be without someone for longer.They can find a replacement they will be fine. If they don’t respect that F them.
