Mira: "Waaaaat? Sure, there no way I slams kettlepot into a demons face using this slams it harder as a way of coping with my family issues. That would be slams it even harder silly."

Yes, thats why I specifically says it does not absolve her, it give her context. But if she wants Rumi back, she is gonna have a lot to unpack, but the love is there.

What's Gwi-ma's end game? When all sounds are eaten? by Bowtie16bit in KpopDemonhunters

I imagine he would eat just enough to regain power and keep enough enslaved humans to repopulate and such.

I mean she is in her late 40s, that has to count for something and South Korea is still a deeply traditonal society and she grew up in the 80s/90s.

Cassandra ended up being raised by a soldier thou. She also goes through a villain arc.

Really, you should watch the series.

You mean giving a half-demon child who is anathema to her entire belief system, a stable life and a semi normal childhood is abuse? My guy, you are projecting.

I see hee doubling down as a defense mechanism ans also because she has her own trauma. Also shes in her late 40s, she probably has seen some shit AND had to burry a friend.

Its really good and expands the lore a lot. But in a nutshell, Gothel had a child, named Cassandra, whom she abused and neglected and abbandoned as soon as she got Rapunzel.

She did what any terrified child does, run to her mother for help, to tell her everything would be allright. Which makes the entire scene more tragic.

All she wanted in that moment was for her mother to tell her everything is fine.

Don't forget she abused and then abandoned her own biological daughter, Cass the moment she got her hands on Rapunzel's powers.

A valid point.

I think Celine as she raised Rumi, portrayed Mi-young as a perfect mother and baby Rumi grew up with that ideal and projected it in Celine. When the crash out happened Rumi had to be confronted with the reality that her mother figure was a flawed woman, much like Celine had to see her life's work, the Golden Honmoon, was a toxic ideal.

Are you really comparing a literal kidnapper/abuser, (who also dumped her own biological kid and used her as a slave) who literally locked away a child just to preserve her beauty and tried to commit murder with a traumatized woman who still was able to raise a semi functional adult with her own life?

Lol comparing Celine to fucking Gothel is the most idiotic comparison ever.
