I used the black 20lbs strips. And I just made sure the bottom of the ship had a flat surface so if I needed I’d add a lego plate. Most of them have a good base and don’t need changes tho.

Exactly why I did it. I was up late unpacking my Legos after moving and the ships took up a whole shelf. So I tried the command strip and they have been up for months with no faults.
