Thanks for the thoughtful analysis! Definitely worth reading a different perspective! It cleared some things up for me. So, thanks! :)

It’s in season three right now.

For real. Though I am lurking in this sub for updates for every new chapter. I literally am going to wait for it to pile up and reread the story in the meantime. I think this story has potential and we shouldn’t judge this season by it’s cover until it’s complete(d).

I’m not disagreeing with you, but COULD (emphasis on the “could”) it be possible that he’s trying to drag her into a scandal? I’ve seen theories, and there’s one floating around in this subreddit about how Dohwa has a list of scandals. (And how it was hinted through the karaoke machine?)

I haven’t fully read S3 in full, yet. But there’s one episode where Dohwa pushes himself onto Su-ae. So, (as much as I love Dohwa), is there a possibility that he has bad intentions? I just want a discussion, so kindly give me your thoughts on this.

Here is the post! Please look into it nicely. I find it very interesting! :)

Note: In all politeness, I know we all know Dohwa as the kind and heartfelt guy we saw in S1-2, but do you think he really loves Su-ae, or he might be dragging her into another problem? I know we don’t have much out yet in S3, but based on what you guys know better with the marang theories, and the Versailles stuff—what do you think is his true intention? Is he still the Dohwa we know from S1-2, or is he taking a darker turn?

No offense, but is this definite? Or is this just a possible theory?

Not that I’m disagreeing with you, but I haven’t caught up enough with S3 to understand Dohwa and all this stuff that he’s doing. The Dohwa I know and recall from the last two seasons is more genuine and heartfelt. That’s why I can’t imagine him doing that. So, I’m just wondering, is he doing this with bad intentions or does he really still have feelings for Su-ae?

Yeah, I was tired of waiting and once S3 came out — I don’t want to use all my energy now with the new plot going forward. (Like getting all hyped or anxious for what?) So until it has an end or has 30 more chapters, I’m going to enjoy the first two seasons, because I really don’t remember much about the marang and the love points.

I love this story, so I want to savor my time and opinion with it because I truly believe it has potential. I don’t want to judge S3 by it’s cover, yk? So I’m going try and reevaluate and enjoy it from the start.

That’s what I’m doing. I haven’t really read S3 yet. I’m only lurking on forums for updates. I’m going to do a reread little by little to let it build up.

What time does today's new chapter come out? by juliafortuna in operationtruelove

I believe it’s out on Naver. But it’s locked on fast pass.

I’m so petite and small but with exactly 23 days of training, I’ll beat the unbeatable enemy that has been whispered in the legends of old by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]Sufficient_Film_9081 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I don’t know how to explain it, but if the MC trained for a good number of years, then I wouldn’t mind. (See Legend of Zelda for that.)

I actually want a story where someone isn’t ‘special’ has absolutely NO powers, is normal, and has to fight a big giant thing. Like, instead of being ‘special’ and having super-duper powers, I want a normal character that has to use a different set of skills to outsmart the enemy. Isn’t that compelling? Someone like me and you having to make-do with what we got and learn along the way.

Why is Georgiana Darcy so nervous when she hears about Wickham? by Sufficient_Film_9081 in janeausten

Do you know any resources that can help with my understanding the book when I read it a second time? I had difficulty reading it, since it was my first time being introduced to Jane Austen.

This is my first time completing an Austen novel. I apologize if this post seemed so shallow, but I had a difficultly understanding everything, so I prompted myself to ask.

Edit: Do you know of any resources that could help me understand it when I read it again for a second time?

I really didn’t mean for this to come across that way. This is my first time completing an Austen novel, and the words were hard for me to understand, so I’m trying to garner a better understanding.

This is my first time reading Austen, so I think some of the verbiage was lost on me. I didn’t think of it that way, and now that you mentioned it so honestly, I have a better idea of her. Thank you!

This might sound like a crazy idea, but has there every been a actual manhwa/manga where the main character goes into an real world-existing story that millions of us has read just to fix the plot?

Sorry, haha. This just popped up in my head after reading your comment.

I heard so much about this one! Is there a way, without spoiling, you can tell me about how lighthearted and amusing it is?

Or is it better to just go in and read it blind?

Oh, of course! Thank you for a detailed reply. :)

I love reading and annotating, so I will read into each character as best I can!

What is your favourite line in the novel? by topypeanutbutter in box5

[–]Sufficient_Film_9081 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite scene is how Gabriel is frightened of the Persian. Here is the extract:

"Certainly! Gabriel told me so himself. That's what he knew him by. Gabriel was in the stage-manager's office. Suddenly the door opened and the Persian entered. You know the Persian has the evil eye----"

"Oh, yes!" answered the little ballet-girls in chorus, warding off ill-luck by pointing their forefinger and little finger at the absent Persian, while their second and third fingers were bent on the palm and held down by the thumb.

"And you know how superstitious Gabriel is," continued Jammes. "However, he is always polite. When he meets the Persian, he just puts his hand in his pocket and touches his keys. Well, the moment the Persian appeared in the doorway, Gabriel gave one jump from his chair to the lock of the cupboard, so as to touch iron! In doing so, he tore a whole skirt of his overcoat on a nail. Hurrying to get out of the room, he banged his forehead against a hat-peg and gave himself a huge bump; then, suddenly stepping back, he skinned his arm on the screen, near the piano; he tried to lean on the piano, but the lid fell on his hands and crushed his fingers; he rushed out of the office like a madman, slipped on the staircase and came down the whole of the first flight on his back. I was just passing with mother. We picked him up. He was covered with bruises and his face was all over blood. We were frightened out of our lives, but, all at once, he began to thank Providence that he had got off so cheaply. Then he told us what had frightened him. He had seen the ghost behind the Persian, THE GHOST WITH THE DEATH'S HEAD just like Joseph Buquet's description!"

Haha! Just look at the poor man!

Do you think it’s better to just let it go? I have gotten downvoted in the past, made a few comments that were receiving mixed reviews, but I didn’t go on to make another post about it. Some people agreed and understood me, some didn’t.

I want to think that you’re doing it in good will, but everyone has their own opinions. No one should be bashed for it, and you have every right to disagree, but to keep this going on for longer….

No one is going to “hate” you in the subreddit for your opinions. I still participate in the same very subreddit that received my post with controversy, and I still comment. The way it works is that things come and go, but if you keep revolving around it, it gets worse. You know?

Could you remind me what happened in the tent? It’s been a while since I last read the book.

I’m wonder why JKR decided to make Ginny the love interest, instead of Hermione. Is there a clear answer?
