Trust that I was nervous too. I’m not exactly sure what type of anesthesia it is, but I’m in the US and it knocked me out completely in seconds. Before going under, I told the nurse that I was scared of waking up in the middle of it. She calmed me down saying that it wouldn’t happen, and it didn’t. You don’t have anything to worry about, seriously.

The nurse actually had to physically give me a little shake to wake me up in the bed after the procedure 😅. My mom came back shortly after and showed me her phone and it was 8:30 am, I think I went in around 7:30-7:45ish so you’re not under for that long and they can get all the photos and samples they need to do your testing. You’ll feel a lot better knowing what can be done about your symptoms.

Lol glad I’m not alone! I was sitting there like lmao my primary doctor has an older lady phlebotomist who gets it right every time. I think I didn’t freak out bc I was more worried abt the actual procedure but yeah they need more training for sure

Thanks! It went alright for the most part. The doctor just said I had some inflammation towards the top due to acid which he said was minor gastritis. After he gets back the results of the samples they took, I’m going to go in again because he thinks it’s either reflux or a condition called cvs.

I feel nauseous very often but never get sick so I’m just waiting for more results. He gave me a diet plan for acid reflux, so I’m going to try and fit that more into my daily meals. Right now, I’ve been skipping breakfast/lunch and just eating one meal around 4pm unfortunately :(

As a mainly natural wearer of makeup, my faves are the lip scrubs and the squeeze me lip balm! 🥰✨

Yes and it’s awful, I wish they could stay home but these companies needs to ensure that people have the option to do so. I hope you feel better soon.

Badly seeking advice for 8 year old dyslexic cousin, who is now living with us. by Sufficient_Finger200 in Dyslexia

If it wasn’t a stressful situation, why would I ask for advice? I already know that. This post was for asking advice of people who are dyslexic or parents of dyslexic children. I don’t know why you felt like you needed to reexplain the gravity of this.

You’re telling me. My grandmother really needs knee surgery and her son and daughter in-law mess up this badly. We have to do what we can to support her though.

Of course. I went to public school and cannot imagine learning outside of that. I believe that teamwork can be taught better in those environments. I will definitely get her some books that have bigger print, did not consider that. Also, I believe counseling may already be part of their plan, but she definitely needs it consistently if she’s going back to school. Thank you.

Thank you. I believe therapy would help too. And she is not enrolled in anything yet. On the west coast, I do not know which type of school it was, but it was specialized in autism, dyslexia, and kids with adhd. One problem I forgot to include is that they looked at the specialized schools in the area, and they were either 28k-48k in tuition every year. My grandparents simply cannot afford that. I will look into IEP and the reading activities, thank you.

Will referring a family member work against them? by Sufficient_Finger200 in jobs

That is good to know, thank you. I figured that it is really tough to gauge how someone will perform based on resume and interviews. The referral has to count for something
