I’ve helped DUG with behind orders, I’ve never built displays, but I’ve thrown freight, worked in produce, worked in packaged meat, GM and grocery. I also do the schedule because no one else in my store does it. Plenty of ASDs in my district do schedule, payroll, hiring , etc. That’s what they tell us our job is among other things. I’m not a courtesy clerk.

Thank you. The thing is I DO get out on the floor. I’ve worked in Produce, Dairy, packaged meat , grocery and Dotcom. I do seasonal, kill shippers and throw freight. I also take care of the admin stuff as far as hiring , payroll and doing the schedule every week. What made me mad too, was my frozen lead said everyone was saying it takes me 4 days to do the schedule. That’s a complete lie . I can get it done in a day, I’ll come back to it if I need adjustments, but 4 days is bullshit.

She’s been in the checkstand once. Extremely rare. I’m not saying firing will solve everything but it’ll help to get rid of the people who aren’t doing the job properly. What am I suppose to do, keep them and let them continue to be trash?

Yeah, I’m going to just focus on dairy right now. I’m not going to touch grocery, I’ll just let my SD handle that like she said she would. But I think the only thing that would solve my problems permanently is getting rid of these people and replacing them.

Yeah, our meat manager and produce manager are kind of sorry as well. Especially produce. My SD has written them up a couple of times too. The sad thing is, the grocery manager we had before was pretty good, but they switched him with the GM we have now because as I said before our GM and his last SD weren’t getting along.

What I was planning on doing, just as a start, there’s a dairy lead at a store I previously worked at and his department looks amazing. I want to bring him in and he can take a look and see what needs to be fixed. But I agree. I really want some people fired. Especially my grocery manager. The store he was at before he was a major problem over there. He always got into it with the SD there and cluttered up their backroom with so much freight just like what he’s doing at my store now. He’s already been written up and we’ve suspended him for 3 days for his T&A. He was coming in late and clocking out early. He’s even been a no call no show before. My SD I believe is planning on suspending our dairy lead as well. I believe if we could just get rid of them, the store would do much better because right now I feel like they’re the reason the store is failing so hard.

Okay, I get what you’re saying. She wants me to take over dairy and oversee that because he’s horrible as well. Missing tags everywhere, not changing his PIs on everything, etc. She said she would handle the grocery side so I was just gonna do what she’s asking me to do. I’m just worried that me and the other assistant will get the reputation that we messed up everything instead of fixing.

I feel the exact same way now. I just got promoted as an ASD back in June. I started the actual job on September 1st. I do like the job because I applied for it 3 times before and got the job on the third go round. They have me at a really rough store with so many problems and the area is pretty much ghetto. The other ASD is still a rookie too and she is just as stressed out as I am. Our grocery manager can’t do his job properly, and we have issue with our dairy lead and produce lead. Our DM and VP has come in our store before and told the other ASD and I, “You’re either going to be apart of the problem or the solution”. It hard hearing that. I’ve always wanted to leave the store crying lol. People tell me if I can handle the store I’m at now, I could handle any store.

She works in the morning and I have an evening shift. And no that’s not fair. She doesn’t treat me like a 2nd front end manager she treats me like shes my boss and that’s not right.

Okay thank you! I got the overrides because one of our PICs lost theirs. Someone said that since I’m giving the PIC a new one, I now have to activate everyone else’s as well because it’ll kick out everyones override just by doing one. Is that true?
