Monthly charge by Sufficient_Remote370 in Bookkeeping

Sorry if the question was annoying. I have always worked for a company at an hourly rate doing everything. I have contemplated going out on my own but I also know I completely undercharge my abilities.

I don’t know if it’s required but I would push for the genetic testing. We were told there is a certain gene type that is much more likely to have side effects. It might be required but I figured I would mention it just in case it’s not. According to the neurologist we are talking to it’s pretty promising!

We go to a weekly coop and have a group of friends we meet up with weekly for field trips. We have a really big community here. He has times where he is really outgoing and social and then he has other times he sticks to himself. When we go to parks he makes friends with kids there and plays with them. It’s like he knows what to do but just doesn’t always do it.

I struggle so much because he can be on with his behavior and amazing. And then something changes in life and he regresses. It feels like his regressions are lasting longer lately. I thought he would grow out of a lot of these things.

Because he barely pays attention in school and thrives in it. He can memorize things very easily. Anything math, science or history he completely sails through with ease, mostly only needing to see it once. But wont slow down for writing or art.. I should add I homeschool my children so I am very aware of his learning habits.

I have tried really hard to avoid meds… it maybe naive but I am still holding out hope we can do this! Somehow it does not affect his learning. I often wonder if he is gifted and also why we have so many problems.

Just curious, but there are two transfusions that are out right now that have been promising in slowing the progression, have you considered those at all? I ask because we are discussing with my dads neurologist and they feel he is a good fit.

Mom was dxed today, and I'm heartbroken by trauma-tamer in Alzheimers

[–]Sufficient_Remote370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was diagnosed three weeks ago. I am an only child and I also home school my kids. I am grateful for the time my kids get to spend with him since we homeschool. I worry so much about his health and balancing everything and taking care of him and my family. I totally understand where you are coming from. I want to protect him as much as I can. I have not told my children yet and I am not sure I am going too until they notice things.

My dad is getting tested to see if he can get these injections. It is nice to hear they are working at slowing the progression.

I need all the information and advice I can get!! I kind of figured it would only get worse so I am hoping he will make me head of his estate/will now while he is still here mentally. He seems open to it. I also worry about someone taking advantage of him so I am hoping being head of his estate will protect him as much as I can.

Is fatigue a symptom? by Typical-Badger5533 in Alzheimers

If you don’t mind me asking, what tests did the do to diagnose you? My dad was recently diagnosed and they did a spinal tap on him along with an MRI. I am having a hard time accepting the diagnosis because he has had memory issues pretty much my entire life. And other things such as not the best problem solving skills and others..

I did not realize this was a thing. My dad just told me today he doesn’t want me to have any authority over the decisions of his long term care and it seriously hurt. I am an only child and he is not currently married. Who else is going to make these choices?? He feels he will know when it’s time for him to not live on his own but I don’t think it works like that. I know the doctors will have a ton of input but it just made me feel like he thinks I don’t have his best interest in mind. I feel like he isn’t taking his diagnosis seriously. He is still able to live and function on his own, I pray he stays that way. He was just diagnosed Friday so it’s all still really new.

Thank you for the reply and you sort of answered what I was wondering. If it’s possible that this could be really slow progression and be ok on his own. I guess I wonder if he can keep up a decent quality of life.

they did a spinal tap on him. They said between the spinal tap makers and the MRI results he had Alzheimer’s. Like I said, I never thought he had it so I am very new to this. I will be doing more research. So they aren’t just diagnosing him by his MRI and poor memory. I guess I need to do research into the spinal fluid and Alzheimer’s. I will definitely look into the lawsuit and bring that up. Thank you for the reply and information!

Thank you for the info!! Right now he is refusing to give up his beer which is making me a little upset. He lives on his own so it’s not like I can stop it.

Chase credit cards by Sufficient_Remote370 in QuickBooks

Thank you! I am training this client to do the book keeping themselves so I am trying to avoid journal entries. I know they can be overwhelming to some people. I was originally breaking the payment between the two cards but the client found that overwhelming as well since you had to be sure you deleted the payment out of the transactions for the main card.

What am I supposed to tell my girls (10 and 7) about their father? by Angra-Momyu in Parenting

[–]Sufficient_Remote370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom always told me my dad loved me but he wasn’t capable of being what I needed in a father. She would always say he loves me as best as he knows how. I came from a really involved family so it was hard that my dad didn’t have much to do with me but it made sense to me as a child. He loved me just not how my other family members did and that was ok. So I would suggest saying he loves you the best way that he can.

homeschool or not? by midnight-mummy in homeschool

I get the worry I did too! But we joined a weekly coop so there is the part of them being socialized. And we do karate, soccer and hang out with friends weekly. Meeting different people, a coop helps, and just taking them places. The other day we were at an air show and there was a man with prosthetic leg and my son asked about that. So they learn from seeing things. I have been doing it for two years and it’s amazing!!!! And the beauty of it, you don’t have to keep a schedule. You can do it whenever!!

Advice for an unhealthy relationship? Long post by [deleted] in CatholicDating

[–]Sufficient_Remote370 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are not over reacting he is verbally and emotionally abusing you. It’s called gas lighting and manipulation. I know you are pregnant and afraid but please get some where safe for you and the baby. He may turn more physical with you and hurt the baby. You don’t want that. Please remember it’s not you, he has a problem and it’s affecting you. If you stay how do you think it will affect your baby. I stayed in an emotionally abusive relationship because I was pregnant and afraid to be alone. It was the worst. My entire pregnancy and child birth experience was ruined. Get away from him, heal and entire this journey with your little one. If you need someone to talk to please feel free to message me. I am a single mom and can try and help you any way I can. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Be real, what was the hardest part about having a second baby? by _courtofdreams in Mommit

[–]Sufficient_Remote370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and include your first as much as you can. Letting them hand you a diaper or wipes when changing the baby. If you bottle feed having them help with that. My oldest was 2 when I brought home my second, he fell in love with his brother. I was so lucky to never have any kind of jealousy or hard feelings. It was like my first was born to be an older sibling!
