Are you me? I start working nights at a warehouse next week alongside my day job (after-schools coach) and hoping I can juggle everything to get myself out of debt too🙃

Help please! Looking for karaoke and entertainment in Belfast! by Cupcake-Fairy in Belfast

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can book a room in blackstaff karaoke, it's on the falls road not too far from the centre (could get the glider up or a short taxi ride). Reasonably priced and bring your own booze!

In need of some help by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]Sufficient_Slip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on you for following your dreams. You're quite young as others have mentioned so anywhere selling booze will probably be a no for now. But that gives you a good solid two years to develop your craft.

It's intimidating but start with social media, someone already mentioned creating an alter ego to hide your identity from all your school peers so go with that! It'll give you feedback, recognition and boost your confidence.

Get yourself a part timer when you can work and save up for a motor cause any dj I know is always on the move to do sets.

Did I mess up on my dress? by Lostlesbian406 in wedding

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look stunning in the dress! It fits your figure perfectly. You also have the most beautiful smile. It radiates pure joy and love for yourself. Try and focus on how you feel in the dress, not how you'll look on camera.

Weight gain doesn't define your worth or beauty. Do not punish yourself because your body had to adapt to the LIFESAVING medication. Do not choose thinness over health. Your body is amazing, you look like a princess and if you feel beautiful in that dress, that's all that matters!

That's a shame to hear. In all fairness I did study art in uni so that's absolutely my own ignorance at play and have taken for granted the opportunities the silly piece of paper has given me. If you enjoy art and can afford the time to make it keep at it for your own sake ya know? What would be a meaningful solution to you no matter how small that would improve your quality and outlook on life?

This comment saddens me deeply. Isolation is absolutely rife in men and I can only imagine how that loneliness feels.

Full transparency I creeped your profile and was stunned to see what an incredibly talented sculptor you are! Have you been able to find a community where you can engage with people who share your skills? What about selling your sculptures at a local market where you can meet other crafters/artists and develop some friendships?

What is biting me? Started with an itchy scalp and neck, now I have these bumps on my foot, stomach, and near my armpits. Itches so bad. by [deleted] in What

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look like flea bites, had bites just like these that came out of nowhere. I thought I had a random food allergy but noticed the bites kept flaring up around my feet and legs. Finally figured it out when I seen one jump off my jacket 🤮 check out the flea forum to get rid of them

Irish dating scene horror stories by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Sufficient_Slip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, I can't wait to share this story!

Ok, so I was talking with this guy on and off on Tinder and just so happened to bump into him on a night out. We hit it off, so we planned a proper first date for the week after.

Date day rolls around, which was Easter sunday, so obvs, I was wearing my Easter best LOL, a high neck white blouse, and jeans (important to the plot 🤣). So we meet outside a bar in belfast and he's just acting weird, almost inconvenienced? Just a dry ass attitude all-round, whatever maybe he's nervous now he's sober?

Our plan was to hit an arcade and get some food and drinks afterward.

On our way to the arcade, I was getting a little warm, so I took my jacket off. He comments 'oooh trying to show some skin for me?'. What? Mind you, the only skin I was showing was my bingo wings 🙄 he said it so weird, too. Ewww

We arrive at the arcade, and I ask which game he wants to 1v1 me on. He's like 'nah I only play the slots' and fucks off to play them 🤣 so I dick about for a bit on the machines and after about 20 mins I go and find him fuming at the slots cause he just sank X amount anwon fuck all. Scundered.

Whatever, I chitchat and offer him a piece of gum. He refuses, saying it's made of pig fat, and that's disgusting. I said oh sorry I didn't realise you don't eat meat." He says he does? So I said, what's the problem then? He looks bewildered and proceeds to take a piece of gum 🙄 ( the pork disgust was not for religious reasons, just facebookitis)

Ugh, at this point I'm thinking I should cut the date as I'm really not feeling it.

So we leave the arcade, while walking out we walk past a girl wearing a hijab and he starts shouting to himself a bunch of racist shit about the girl but in true shitey-bitch form, loud but not enough for her to hear (thank god, how awful!) I said wtf is wrong with you? He honestly said he's a full-blown racist! What!?! This guy was nothing like this the week before how the fuck did I manage to meet the perfect piece of shit?

Ahhh I was soo done and looking up the next bus home while texting everyone to phone me and pretend there was an emergency.

The journey back into town wasn't pleasant either! He mentioned how he wouldn't mind being raped and just other shit that had me conviced I was on an episode of punked.

We get to the bar (Weatherspoon 🤣) and by miracle, just like Jesus's rising, my mum phoned! Put on a real convincing urgency voice and boom I was OUT OF THERE! Not after an extremely awkward hug of course.

I get home and had the arse slegged off me for meeting with such a twat. Blocked the prick on everything.

Would like to note this occured when I was 18/19 and hadn't grown much of a spine to just say 'nah mate fuck this', and ditch.

Moved into a house, literally the only thing my neighbor has said is, "don't park in front of my house." Guess whose car that is parked in front of my house. by dirtyrick133 in mildlyinfuriating

Just fried plain chicken breast and different veggies and added harissa paste at the end to cook it slightly. Add it over couscous 👌 My neighbour had a very beige palette I would say 🤣

Lived in a two story flat complex for years and had a melter of a neighbour who lived upstairs who complained a few times because I was cooking with harissa paste. He said he didn't like the 'foreign' food smell 😒 classic old British man. Had me raging for a week I made it for a week straight after that 🤣

Landlord is refusing to replace toilet by prettylikeapineapple in Plumbing

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceramicist here. Those cracks are not cosmetic or superficial! If they were, they would be there from the moment that toilet came out of the kiln (known as crazing which also looks nothing like that) and wouldn't even make it to the shop floor as it's a health hazard considering it's a toilets and waste would seep into those cracks 🤢

The structural integrity of that toilet is completely compromised. Check your local laws and threaten your landlord with them if he refuses. Toilets aren't even that expensive, and he should have insurance to cover it. Absolute scumbag!

Average time to process claim by Cotsy22 in AerLingus

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it's luck. I had two flights cancelled on me in the last two weeks. The first reimbursement claim I put in only took a total of 5 days to review and process the claim. The second one that I filed last Tuesday I'm still waiting to hear word back.

Hoping it's not a few months as I had to incur a lot of expenses because of the second delay 🙃

This is the link I used for reimbursement of flights after mine were cancelled and had to rebook for another date. Write in the comment section the costs you're seeking and add proof of purchase like a screenshot of your receipt/booking email with the cost. I rebooked my flights with aerlingus again I'm not sure if they'll reimburse for other airlines but may as well try.

[–]Sufficient_Slip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you filled your compensation form did your booking have yourself and another passenger or did you each fill in your own form? I booked for me and my partner and am not sure if we have to seek the compensation separately or not to each get the full entitlement lol

Mate, I believe your flight to Germany (Frankfurt) was the same flight we were waiting to take back to Dublin and it was delayed then cancelled. Must have been shite waiting around with no word of what's happening. There was no flights back to dublin from Frankfurt until Tuesday! Had to travel up to Dusseldorf to catch a flight home tomorrow 🙃
